Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The future of major third party Switch games will be mid-budget

The biggest issue isn't what games are coming the fact they are putting download codes and incomplete games on the smallest cart available.

No one in their right mind is going to buy that shit and they use these sales figures as a basis to dictate what sells and what doesn't like the people don't want to play those games

They need to realise Nintendo gamers are collectors. They are not the play hard for a week then trade it in people. We buy we keep for life. That is why Nintendo first party software still costs full price because there is hardly any on the secondary market.

Well, the Switch is already doing crazy well without this generation's Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty.

To be honest, the third party support was never GREAT at any point since it launched 2 years ago. Yeah, we've gotten some old ports, a few select Bethesda games, Mortal Kombat 11. But it is still getting a steady amount of older AAA ports, which I think definitely helps. I do not think the older ports will slow down and I also think that there will be more exclusives in the future from third parties.

Nintendo does need third party support to be successful, but not to the same extent as Sony or Microsoft do. If it keeps getting the support that it has always been getting, which just seems to be getting better (if ever so slightly), it will be see continued success!

It's over 2 years in, I think they are getting there with the games they do get. And it might as well be mid level games, being that many of them are pretty successful.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Sorry but I can put together Major and Mid-Budget.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

That is a huge OP for what I believe everybody already knew.
