Probably shouldn't judge people without knowing their reasons for disliking something. My wife is the one who doesn't like nudity and it's because when she was growing up her step-dad was a fucking creep and would watch porn in the living room in the middle of the day when her and her siblings were home and now she gets extremely uncomfortable whenever she sees nudity or sex scenes on TV. She enjoys other movies/shows with a medieval/fantasy style setting so I think she would like GoT but wont give it a shot because of that. |
Tell her about VidAngel then! I refused to watch GoT because of that reason, then I read about Vidangel. They get sued all the time, but over the last year or two I've watched the entire GoT show and had the ability to filter out whatever I wanted (you can get really conservative if you want, or just cut certain things out). Having watched the show now, there are some things I would have filtered even more in retrospect. For instance, I would really not like to have seen the Mountain crushing that one dudes skull by pushing his finger through the guy's eyes. I would also like to have not seen ANY of the scenes involving that creepy guy who mutilated what's his name's manhood (I'm really trying not to think about it cause that was just so gross and terrifying). Anyway, it's well worth the monthly charge in my book!
