Forums - Sports Discussion - 2019 NBA Postseason: The Toronto Raptors are NBA Champions!

Well that doesn't bode well for the Raptors. If they keep blowing opportunities like that, they don't stand a chance.

I hope they don't get swept though. It would be downright tragic to finally escape the terror of James only to get destroyed by someone else xD

Ya, they're going to be kicking themselves for letting that one slip away. Hard to imagine they'll get a better opportunity than the one they had tonight to pick up a road win versus these Bucks, who generally didn't play well. Probably going to be a 6 game series.

Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals should be starting in around 20 minutes.

Kevin Durant is now ruled out for Games 3 & 4 in Portland.
Might as well sit him for the rest of the series.

Through 1 quarter, Portland is in a MUCH better position than they were in Game 1.
Their defense is significantly better, McCollum got it going, some role players are stepping up, and they have the lead despite Steph starting hot with 12 points with 4/5 shooting - the difference being he's had to work for those buckets, whereas in Game 1, he was shooting like he was just practicing. The only down side is that Damian Lillard is scoreless. But he's not going to stay at 0. If he can get going and they can keep up the other aspects, they can win this game.

WOW!
What a game!
Right down to the final possession!
The Warriors showed the poise, experience, and heart of a 3x Champion.
Heartbreaking loss for the Trail Blazers. This game was theirs for the taking and slipped right through their fingers.

Sigh.  Portland,

That's gonna be a tough one to swallow for Portland. They practically couldn't miss from deep, and still lost.

Well, sure enough.

Welp.

The Raptors sure are having a fun time

Well. That was quite the ass-whooping.
