Forums - Nintendo Discussion - RUMOR: Persona 5, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Zelda: A Link to the Past in Best Buy's Employee Terminal

And Persona 5 has just "Persona 5" as name, it makes little sense.

It should be Persona 5 Royal, or Persona 5 Something (since it's Persona 5 S). They most likely won't call it "Persona 5 Switch" (they like special names too much), at worst it would be "Persona 5 Royal Switch edition".

I'm still betting more on Persona 5 Sumo, new multiplatform fighting game.

This is just Best Buy trying to use the hype of the P5S reveal coming soon, they have no additional information (default release date, by Nintendo instead of Sega or Atlus?).

Wouldnt Atlus want to use the "Joker Coming to Smash" Hype train as a way to sell a Port of Persona 5 on the Switch? That is extra $$$$ for an already well sold game.

Pocky Lover Boy!

A Link to the past original would make sense except for one minor details... THERE IS NO SNES ONLINE APP YET!

A remake would be ridiculous in the same year they are doing LA.

All SMT/Persona Q/EO/RPG games on ds/3ds were made and published by Atlus. Bring Square here isn't relevent since Atlus isn't Square.

If there's exclusive content made for this game requested by Nintendo, yes it would most likely be published by Nintendo. Bringing square isn't the point lol, you totally missed the point. I brought up instances where versions of other games published by a different company became published by Nintendo...never said Atlus was square, lol.

LOL so that is what you are thinking, i will believe it when i see it

I'll buy them all if true!

The fact that Link to the Past would most likely appear on Nintendo's online service makes me completely doubt the validity of this "rumour" (not sure if it counts as a rumour since we know the supposed source; it's more like speculation, unconfirmed info, or a lie).

Don't get me wrong, I would like all three of these games =)
Persona 5 would be most interesting to me since I have never played it; I WOULD be more interested in Link to the Past if I hadn't played it multiple times in the past 2-3 years.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The Zelda-one must be a mistake. Probably Link's Awakening or a port of Link Between Worlds

Maybe I'm too jaded for my own good, but I have started rolling my eyes at these rumors because they are so constant. How many times are we going to hear the rumour that Metroid Prime Trilogy is on the way before it actually happens? I would love to see Persona 5 come to Switch, but it's another one of those games that the rumor mill is constantly buzzing around and the mainline series hasn't left Sony since it's inception! That's twenty-five years! Remember when GTA V was heavily rumoured? Nothing ever came of it. Fallout 4? Nothing. We got a momentarily entertaining port of a mobile game, and that's likely all we'll get.

Yes, rumours occasionally do become reality: Diablo III, South Park: FbW/SoT, Dark Souls, etc. More often than not, though, these rumours end up being a whole lot of nothing. They've been hitting this really obnoxious fever pitch lately.

I've already took it with a huge grain of salt. The fact that there's the presence of games like Metroid Prime Trilogy (anticipated since the VGA) and .... A Link to the Past ?! (How ??) makes it clear they're probably hoping on the wild speculations going on the internet.

How exactly is A Link To The Past based on wild internet speculation on the internet?  That one seems to have come out of nowhere.

In terms of Metroid Prime Trilogy this is an obvious game that will be coming to Switch at some point. Would make perfect sense to come out later this year because I don't see any other 1st party games this year that could really serve as a showcase and help to push the new Pro hardware model.

Well, it's in this case Published by Nintendo. So yeah, they'd be listed under publisher...

But uh yeah, if you think this is fake uh...keep the faith I guess.

And why would it be published by Nintendo? Persona 5 was published by Atlus and Deep Silver, Persona Q2 is published by Atlus. No reason to be published by Nintendo.

I don't have "faith", I would be happy to play an improved P5 on the go. But people just trust any baseless rumor without asking any questions, just because "they said S and S is Switch" .

Persona 4 U didn't release on the Wii U as far as I know, so let's wait to see what this S is. Since the website message mentions directly a sumo/wrestling arena, it's not unlikely to get a multiplatform fighting game, which we know is coming.

For me, a Switch announcement would be made during the Royal reveal, with PS4 and Switch versions properly announced.

The sumo/wrestling arena that was mentioned is the place that the Persona concert is taking place. It has no correction with the fighting game

ALTTP? Maybe they mean Link's Awakening.
