Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Hellblade on Switch releasing next week, 11th April

Hellblade strikes me as the typical game that is among those highlighted as not coming to Nintendo hardware because the console can't handle it. As such, the game draws attention when a port is announced and there is interest in a technical analysis to settle preceding larger arguments about processing power. However, purchase intent for the game itself is low and that's why a thread about the game's release date doesn't get many posts. It's a game that Nintendo gamers are supposed to want because they can't have it, but once they can have it, they begin to realize that they would have never cared in the first place if it hadn't been used as ammo in the console war.

It's not that I doubt that digital-only has been frowned upon on this site, but the practice to attack an entire fanbase because of one or two culprits is bad form. I take it, we have to thank curl-6 for this chain of posts, because of the seemingly endless months of fearmongering in regards to the physical release of XC2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. Why didn't you direct your attack there in the first place? What happened to the ALA who had the spine to call someone a racist?

I expect a humorous response. I didn't come into this thread for a super serious fight, so let's be more relaxed about the whole thing, because at the end of the day all involved people are friends. I can assure you that I don't and won't hold a grudge against anyone.

I think you're taking this way too seriously despite the fact that you're calling for a humorous response. My first comment was mostly a joke and while I agree with the point of it, it wasn't supposed to be incredibly substantive. In order to be substantive I would have to talk about specific people and I don't see the point in that because A ) That crosses the barrier into just being mean and B ) That would mean I care too much. We don't ALL have an excel sheet of posts for cross referencing Rol . We may remember the very basic idea of what people have said but to care so much as to try and prove individual hypocrsiscy is silly.

I'm also not sure why you are so focused on the word fanbase... that seems like a classic example of being too literal. This is the only forum I go on, and even with as many Switch fans as there may be only a few of them comment on the kind of threads we are talking about. It's obvious that I'm only talking about a small subset, you even interpreted it that way without me having to say so. You're actually contradicting yourself a bit: You're trying to make me call out specific people because you understand my intent was addressing a micro-group, but then you say I'm "attacking" an entire fanbase. Seems really poorly thought out. Obviously my comment is only relevant to this forum so I'm not sure what's worth arguing. Saying fanbase was only for comedic effect ... it is an easy word to use and doesn't require a huge explanation ... I technically did not even type it

Honestly calling Aeolus a racist was awesome but normally I probably would be banned for that so it's actually not a good example at all. I also don't think exposing hypocrisy is nearly important as exposing a racist ... everyone is a hypocrite once in a while.

Also to respond to Curl's point ... it's a bit disingenuous to act like I'm talking about basic constructive criticism or consumer complaints (which is what Ninja Theory is getting, but not really other companies). Also, again not talking about Twitter .. don't even have an account.
