I say this legitimately btw, he was the original after all. Carol Danvers is the most boring Captain Marvel of them all. Genis-Vell, Mar-Vell and Monica were all more interesting than Carol ever is. I'm looking forward to Shazam as I don't expect it to be a run of the mill superhero film like 'Captain Marvel' was.

I feel like, with Captain Marvel, Dumbo, and Endgame, Shazam is going to get slaughtered. I hope this isn't the case but I'm not seeing the hype.

Yeah, I kind of agree with you, especially when it comes to Endgame.  I think they have given themselves basically 3 weeks to do well at the box office.  That is going to be most of their cash, but Endgame is going to cut off the tail-end they would normally get. 

I actually think they will do well against Dumbo though.  I predict Shazam beating Dumbo at the box office.

Dumbo isn't direct competition also its not really off to a hot start especially since it had a $175 million production budget.  If the reboot of Hellboy turn out decent it could hurt Shazam's box office a lot more then Dumbo or Captain Marvel could.

Saw this movie over the weekend and I was blown away. I didn't expect it to be so good. If you like movies, go see it. My favorite character was the crippled kid. My least favorite character was the douchebag kid (Carson MacCormac). I hope that actor doesn't get typecast for the rest of his life.

I saw this movie and honestly didn't find it to be all that great as the reviews are saying it out to be. Personally it was fun and entertaining enough but I'd advise to just wait for it to be on Netflix or something. Worth watching, but not in theaters.
