This is based on what i was allowed to play at Sonys event. None of the enemies did what u mentioned. I only saw them block every attack even when i was behind them lol.

Plus for me its not skill as the game has frame stuttering during gameplay. technical issues adding unneccessary difficulty to game. Game with precision attacks should never have frame stuttering. Bare in mind i havent tried pc. It was only the Ps4 that i tried it on.

What do you mean you don't need skill, the blocking and deflecting is there because of the "Posture Mechanic", you deflect enemies to break their posture for you to perform a deathblow, enemies block and deflect too, but lesser enemies mostly just block that's why they are easier to deathblow, in case you did not notice, when you deflect(tapping L1/LB), a big spark is noticeable compared to just blocking(holding L1/LB) where there is less spark and in turn gets your posture build hence you get stunned for a bit. This is not like Soulsborne where enemies will most likely just take every hit you give.

I guess I can understand your stand on the console port, but it's not the game's fault, it's on the devs, and it's weird that enemies block you with their backs facing you wth? I mean you can pretty much stealth kill them from the back, in the air, behind a wall and from a ledge.

Anyways, try it on pc man, it runs great.

Both are equally bad. I dont support that either. Both dont require any skill hence why my favorite game of all time is ninja gaiden on og xbox.  That was pure skill. Heck dark soils has more skill than this and i am not a big fan of ds.

I cant wait for the day when console games will have AI that learns how you play and then changes its style to counterattack yours. Rather have that then fancy graphics at 4k 😂

Hey, its a better way it implment difficultly than a lot of games typically use - same number of enemies by with health multiplers. That is just boring.

Fair enough, but at least it changes it up in Sekiro to offer more variety. Have you played MGS5, as apparently the enemies do gradually adapt to your play style their (I didn't get far enough in the game to see).

I am loving it. It has souls elements but at the same time, it feels fresh. I was already getting tired of the dark souls formula but this game reagained my interest again.

Git gud Skrub!

But naw, I had a hell of a time at Lady Butterfly, I dread how much it'll take for me to beat Genichiro after all I've heard about him. I've watched a few videos and even tried facing him once and while I didn't find him TOO difficult, I died pretty quick not knowing what his pattern would be. I eagerly await seeing just how good he is since I hear he's one of the best bosses in the game despite being horrifically difficult.

Some of my all-time favorite bosses in souls-borne are the hardest ones. We'll see how this goes.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

How far are the bosses from respawn points in this game? One of my most infuriating moments was when I played Nioh, and had to keep navigating a maze, just to refight the Toad boss over and over again.

I almost threw my controller playing Hollow Knight today, because I kept having to spend a minute of traveling to get to a boss. And then I slapped myself on the head and remembered the spirit blade has a teleport function. :P

It depends on the boss, some are quite near and some you have to get past mobs of enemies, but you can easily just sprint past them.

Turns out the main problem with my approach to Butterfly Chick was that I only had two gourd uses and no prayer necklace. Didn't think that one through, did I?

Yea but you would think the devs would have learnt from all the souls games and bloodborne.  I dont know what build they had at the sonys event. I just tried it as i was curious about the game.

Ps i ended up buying octopath traveller snd and game from xenoblade devleopers instead 😂 . Will wait as i heard a 1060 can get it locked 60 fps. Was happy to hear it wasnt demanding on pc.

Yup i have. Got it on pc when there was a sale. Its a pretty good game as it went back to mgs1 and 2 type stealth i havent progressed but i can see the ai is quote smart! I didnt know they adapt as i havent gone that far yet. I will probably get sekiro on pc as its not demanding. A game like that would benefit more at locked 60fps.

I was on 5 gourd seeds and attack 2, vitality 1 before I felt I even had a chance at that chick. She is the best boss next to Genchiro to learn the mechanics of the game for every aspect though, I'd wait until you get to Genhiro and then return to her. Plenty of branching paths and mini bosses to level up before Genchiro too.

Yeah, I've since gone on to kill the chained ogre and working my way up that path.  I only get limited time to play these days, so I'm guessing this game will last a lot longer than past Soulsborne games for me.

I did manage to get her to her second phase with my paltry gourds and vitality, though.
