Scalebound was originally a Wii game so I suppose it's not completely impossible if Platinum went back to the original concept of Scalebound they had visioned, and restarted development under a different name, exclusively for Nintendo Switch in another partnership with Nintendo.

Still I feel like it's unlikely.

Plus Nintendo has nothing to gain by resurrecting this dead game when they could have Platinum make a new game like Astral Chain that doesn’t have any of the preestablished baggage

I think it would be more likely they create a game like it.

I think the "report" in the title should be changed to "rumor". This appears to be speculative at best.

Hopefully this is just a rumor and nothing else. Scalebound just looked less and less good with each trailer they released. I don't think the significant decrease in visuals would make it more appealing either...

That would be quite the embarrassment for MS if this ends up happening. A multi billion dollar company unable to hold on to its game, just for a much smaller multi billion dollar company to take it.

imo the product would inevitably be compared to the X1 footage and features, making this a pretty questionable move (if true)
