I do love it. Spent around 600! hours across 3, 4, and 5. Fallen behind, but want to start Yakuza 0 soon-ish.

Have only finished Zero on my PC, absolutely incredible game.

Now I own the original Yakuza on PS2, which I plan to finish and make my way upwards with the series.

Have you considered the Kiwami remakes in lieu of the PS2 games? Also do you have the western release of Yakuza on PS2 or the Japanese version? The English voice acting in the western release doesn't do the game justice.

My collection will be made solely of the ps4 versions.

Yeah, same. I have little interest in the PS2 versions aside from having watched bits of them on youtube. The PS3 versions are another story, and I plan to buy the remasters on PS4.

western and I'm a sucker for weird english VA, so it adds to the charm for me, regardless I do plan on getting the Kiwami versions, just that if I have an easy way of experiencing the original before a remake, I like to jump on that.

Different strokes. But yes some VA are so comically bad that they have their value. But on here I’m kinda Puritan. Since there isn’t Portuguese dub or sub then jap plus eng sub.

Bought Zero during the recent Steam sale, plan to get to it ASAP.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I loved these series from a long time ago. This was my way of dealing with the loss of Shenmue.

For me, there no other game that comes close to building a believable living world the way Shenmue and Yakuza do. Although people praised the wither for its side quests, yakuza has been given the same amount of appreciation. The variety of gameplay elements along with the story and combat mechanics make it one of the best franchise for me. I get it though that not everyone is into the kind of humour yakuza series offers and those looking fur an online experience might not give it a second thought.

Loved Yakuza 0, then played kiwami kind of enjoyed it, then went to Kiwami 2 and almost at the end I stopped playing it, it is more of the same and I can't stomach it any more.
