Hollow Knight: Silksong announced for PC and Switch

Forums - Gaming Discussion - Hollow Knight: Silksong announced for PC and Switch

Essentially they turned what was originally supposed to be Hollow Knight's last DLC and Kickstarter stretch goal into a whole new game. I've no idea how they make these so fast, but I'm not complaining. Looks amazing, I just wonder why they didn't announce it yesterday.

No word on PS4 or Xbox One.

Holy shit a whole new game? I need to get back to finishing the original now.

So it's no longer DLC and stand alone, the original sold 2.8m from what I've heard. It's the best Metroidvania game of recent times so if Silk Song is just as good as a stand alone game then it's fully welcomed.

Another juggernaut selling indie title on Switch ! Might also explain why it's console-exclusive (as of now)

A gift to a special someone ...

That's pretty cool. I disagree with some of their design choices, but by and large the team made a pretty good game, and I'm willing to roll the dice on this one.

The original Hollow Knight sold 250k in 2 weeks on Switch, so I'm not surprised at the switch priority on the consoles.

Yeah, I assume they can't really make several versions simultaneously so they decided to focus on Switch first and then port it to other consoles.

I thought the Hornet dlc was just gonna be playable Hornet with a few new areas to mess around in, but a whole new game holy shiet! Was already sold, but now insta sold!

Guess I better get back to finishing Godmaster.

I'm so glad Hollow Knight exists btw, now people can shut up about a certain other knight when it comes to indie games.
