QLOC is doing the port
will have option motion controls
apparently its been in the work since early 2018, but stopped development for a brief period when Microsoft bought Ninja Theory.

Having looked them up, QLOC seem okay; their most notable recent work was Dark Souls Remastered on PS4/Xbone/PC.

Glad to hear there'll be motion controls, hopefully taking advantage of the system's features like this is a sign that a decent amount of effort has gone into the port.

And good on MS for not being jerks and stopping the port. Having been in the works that long is also an encouraging sign as it's not like it's a rushjob thrown together in a few months.

Wll then seems like the port is in good hands and the final product might win the hearts of some Switch owners.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

For a game this demanding, I could accept a dynamic 720p with mild framerate dips for the Switch version.

If it's another WWE 2K18 though that looks like boiled horseshit and runs like molasses flowing uphill in Canada, then I'm out.

This game is quite demanding, wondering what resolution and frame-rate Switch version will have

Probably a glorious ~540p-720p at 30 fps with scaled back visuals (about 480p in portable). UE4 has been evidently easy to work with when it comes to reducing visual fidelity.

I think the X1 version is dynamic 720p-900p, but of course Switch won't have the same visual fidelity in graphic settings.

Given this is UE4, its safe to assume it will be fine on the performance side.

My concern would be how much they have to compromise on the visuals but I think they'll do a good job. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a technical achievement for the Switch.

I'm laughing so hard at those visuals...

I hope so. UE4 on Switch has come a long way, with major optimizations rolling out last year. I'm not a tech guy so I don't know how easy it is to roll the improvements offered by a new version of the engine into a game that started development on an older version.
