So many potential 10-million sellers on this platform. Most of Nintendo's IPs are now very healthy.

2019 alone has 3-4 titles that will do it (assuming they dont get delayed).

1. Super Mario Maker 2-reason listed in previous post.

2. Animal Crossing-the DS & 3DS versions each did over 12 million.

3. Pokemon Gen 8-a new generation Pokemon duo has never sold less than 15 million.

4. New Super Mario Bros Deluxe-this one will have the hardest time but I think it will be like Mario Kart, a hugely popular series that was held back by being on Wii U.

The only thing potentially holding it back is Mario Maker releasing so soon after it but I think they are different enough that they wont compete and will instead complement each other.

I think Link's Awakening Remake will make 10 million as well. It has a nostalgia effect like pokemon.

Exactly.. the game went VIRAL on youtube and it was on the Wii U. It will get so much free publicity now being on the Switch. Sequel looks way better too, this will perform incredibly well.

 

Aninal crossing will be huge. The hype for the franchise online is just insane, like almost at a Smash level tbh. Game was trending high on Twitter WW after NOT being in the direct. 10 millions + is secured and honestly i can easily see it go passed the 15 million mark. It will bring a new crowd to the Switch as well so i expect it being a big system seller.

NSMBU won't reach 10 millions i feel like, since Mario Maker 2 will be releasing like 6 months after it already and they will probably make levels for the game so you will have your 2D mario experience as well.

Idk I just feel like they are different enough that they wont directly compete. If Nintendo thought Mario Maker would cannibalize NSMB than I think they would have spaced them further apart.

I could also imagine them being bundled together at some point with marketing like, "Play the latest Mario adventure then build your own!"

Yeah well or maybe they knew it would cannibalize it and that's why they are releasing a port instead of a new game. 

I feel like they just put it there to fill the holes in the schedule. They could have also released it for the holidays if they actually cared about it that much but decided to push it in january so Jan/Feb doesn't feel too empty.

Will update it more often. There aren't drastic change for me to post it daily so I think it'll be every two days unless a few weeks prior a game release to do it daily. Good point. Scratched PLG and added SMM2 and YCW. One thing I noted is that Maker is not in preorder across the globe.
