Battlefield 5 comes to mind.

I haven't really found any specific sales data. The only figures seem to compare its sales to Battlefield 1, which is one of the best received Battlefield games and the best selling. If years of being the most hated games company and supposed boycotts still cause a game to be sold in millions I doubt a supposed boycott of a semi popular game will do any damage.

In fact I believe this move will make the Epic games store a hell of a lot more popular and will create a serious alternative to Steam in the coming years.

BFV shipped ~7M, which was 1M less than their lowered expectations.  This is also half what BF1 sold.  Of course, 7M might not seem all that bad.  That is until you realize to even get those sales they had to drop the price by about half just a week or so after launch.

Why do you ask? First of all I'm a sales fanatic (why I signed up to a sales website) and secondly I adore the metro series so I'm very curious to see how it performed.

Why does that need a follow up for?.

I'm asking as to why you seem to care so much about PC sided sales, especially in regards to the EGS and eventual release on Steam by 2020.

You're a sales fanatic for console sales, not PC level sales. I don't comment in those sales threads, but it hasn't stopped me from reading them from time to time, and your input stems from console sales, not PC.

Adore the series?, funny, I haven't seen you gushing about it for years, or mentioning it a lot of the time. I've seen many a fan mention Yakuza or Bloodborne, fanatics of those games that do make mention of them from time to time, but I haven't ever seen you mention Metro until very recently.

This is just one dude, not the company. If we look for ridiculous statements made, in an unofficial capacity, by any one person involved with any game, we'd find stuff like this for nearly every big game ever made.

In other words, there's nothing to see here.

You certainly like going on about me..

There hasn't been a new game in the series for years so why would I regularly "GUSH" over it? Although I've said from the day it was announced I'll be getting Exodus just not day 1 as I'm getting through my backlog instead. In fact I've said the exact same for Days Gone and AC: Odyssey. Not buying at launch but eagerly awaiting them all.

I'm an all round sales fanatic no matter what you say and I can't wait to analysis the Exodus numbers for all platforms when they come in. UK numbers in already and it's looking great so fw. I'm delighted.

You certainly like twisting things around and moving the post of the topic of discussion, which is about Metro and PC gaming, not the sales...

There hasn't been a new game since 2013, but there have been two reduxes of the two games, and I still didn't see you talking about them back then. What's wrong with gushing about say, I duno, GoW 5 years later?, or even TW3 for that matter, people still gush for TW3 years later with mods.

It doesn't matter if you're getting it day one or month one, you still didn't talk about the series in total until recently. Buying it at launch or not has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that you didn't talk about liking the series from years past.

Yeah, I've heard that line, but I still haven't seen you going on about PC sales before until the recent debacle with EGS and Steam, and talks of other publishers moving their chairs around. You haven't been into the main PC thread to talk about sales either, or a game selling well. IF you/re going to preach something, preach it, don't just say "oh I'm a first aider" and then never first aid someone.

I know how this sales dats will go for you though, no doubt about that. Your Ubisoft thread was a bit of a giveaway.

So.... Sales out yet?

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

I'm guessing sales were better than the previous games, if we factor in that console owners have warmed up to the Metro series since Redux was released, but that some sales were lost thanks to the whole Steam debacle.
