Forums - Movies & TV - Alita Battle Angel by James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez (based on the manga

Alita: Battle Angel is an upcoming American cyberpunk action film based on Yukito Kishiro's manga Gunnm, also known as Battle Angel Alita. Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, the film is directed by Robert Rodriguez from a screenplay by Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis. The film stars Rosa Salazar in the title role, with supporting roles portrayed by Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley and Keean Johnson.

Alita: Battle Angel will be released in the United States on February 14, 2019, by 20th Century Fox in Real D 3D, Dolby Cinema and IMAX 3D.

edit : Seen it ! LOVED IT ! Best live manga adaptation of all time (with "Oldboy"). It follows pretty much the first two volumes with less violence (but still violent in the movie). In the manga, Alita is kind of a sociopath and sometimes enjoy killing her ennemy (because of the person she used to be in the past). She still kills in this movie.

They can adapt other volumes and easily do a trilogy. (but it will be the case only if the movie is doing good at the box office).

Let me guess, you watched stupid movies like Aquaman and Venom but now that you see a dope Sci-Fi movie, it looks stupid to you ?

I haven't seen Venom and Aquaman i've only seen parts of. It looked fine.

edit : You know how sad the World is when Blade Runner 2049 kind of flopped.

What is with the eyes?

good or bad i'll still watch as nothing else is out lol

I really liked the manga, But this trailer with she living in a mansion is odd, unless they are showing memories or started near the end for the trailer.
