The most important things are video embed and tables. For image embed I still use bbcode, which will hopefully still work.

I don't know if it's possible to do spoilers with bbcode as well, the spoiler function in the editor was always a bit wonky for me.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Will the new editor change the HTML code muh compared to the one we currently have? I made a template for the PC news and I would like to know if I'll have to change it.

Other than that, an easier way to add colour and change the font size would be welcome.

Please excuse my bad English.

Good work Talon.

I was going to message you about the site basically locking up my pc for a second when navigating. It seems fixed now.

What I would REALLY love is for us to have auto dimensions. Saves a lot of trouble.

Great news, that's something that I really hoped for since I've been on this site! Good job TalonMan.

I've asked jlauro to look into the website issues because I too, have noticed it's been up & down for the past 24hrs. I don't know that it's related to the new editor (there are only about 5 people using it at the moment), but anything is possible. Regardless, it's definitely something I've experienced as well, and we'll get it resolved.

What exactly is "auto dimensions"?

Where image width stays in line with image height. This would help greatly with resizing images but keep them in proportion.

That's good news!

You shouldn't have to change your template - anything you're able to do in the current editor, should be possible in the new.

Now - coloring and font stuff is a tricky area. The new editor certainly has the functionality, but this is something we've typically tried to restrict, in order to prevent the forums from becoming an eyesore. It's something I'll have to think about...

I'm glad to know that I'll be able to keep it... with the colour codes .

I understand the problem of having posts that look like a rainbow, but been able to use a couple extra colours (red, blue) could allow us to highlight some parts without having to use the bold or underlying features.

Moving the cursor above/below quotations is currently (i.e. in the old editor) extremely painful/possibly impossible if there's no content there where you want to move to. For example, sometimes I quote someone, then decide I want to say something more generally and put it above the quotation. When I try to move the text cursor above the quotation, it actually... puts the cursor *in* the quotation area, I think? It's possible to get around this quite easily by editing the HTML, but it's not very nice. It'd be great if the new editor handled that better.

I'd also like it if the new editor had working horizontal rules. I'm not sure whether it's an editor issue or a CSS issue, but either way, I would like to see it fixed.

EDIT: The latter definitely seems like an editor issue. It's there in the editor but not in the actual post if I check its HTML (well, DOM tree, but whatever). It also came back when opened this post for editing (as in, it's here in the editor) despite it not being there in the actual post.
