There is however nothing that supports that PS4 would outsell Xbox in December 2018.
I think we are going to be surprised at Switch sales. Super Smash Brothers and Pokemon alone would cause a massive leap, but the word of mouth of Switch since last year, rise in popularity of Fortnite throughout the year, and kids asking for Christmas gifts is collectively going to create an additional bump. I know 2 kids in my family who asked for Switch for Christmas just to play Fortnite on.
I won't make a prediction but I'm guessing there's been some rumors for everyone's guesses being so high for Switch?

how would XB ever outsell the PS4 in any time period? It's amazing, boggles the mind.

I tracked many different outlets and the PS4 outsold the Xbox One at each one. Thats how I correctly predicted that PS4 would beat Switch last month even though earlier I had said it would be Switch. Its because I actually observed. Going by last year the Xbox One should have beat switch in November. But looking at the retailer charts you could see the opposite.

PS4 got outsold by 300K in December 2017 even though it had a $50 price cut. December 2018 has no price cut while Xbox One had price cuts all month long.
That's rational and reality supports XB1 > PS4 this month.
Online retailers do not represent holiday sales. Brick and mortar has the vast majority of sales in December.
Hell, look to Amazon. PS4 outsold XB1 pretty handily in December 2017. Actual gap certainly wasn't.

Yup. Mostly Benji predicting Switch 1st, XB1 2nd and PS4 3rd as well as believing that Switch could outsell PS4 and XB1 combined.

Everybody correctly predicted that PS4 would beat Switch in November so your "observation" is merely a coincidence.
