I feel like not enough discussion is being given to the possibility that the alien isn't intelligent, in which case it's just bestiality even if it were humanoid and attractive. I suppose it's technically bestiality no matter what, but if it were at least as sentient as I am or pretty close to it, and I found it attractive, and it wouldn't hurt either of us, I probably would.

Considering you live in a world where dolphins use fishes to masturbate and human zoophilia etc. is a thing, it's possible. Sentient beings could be naturally kinky for all we know, since that's such a strong venue of socialization and brain development.

Of course, a lot of people get this idea aliens are realistic only if they look like starfishes drawn by someone high on LSD. Most biologists now agree it's unlikely aliens would have dramatically different body plans from the myriad species who've evolved on Earth. You might argue not every life-capable world would be Earthlike, but as I mentioned before, body temperature compatibility would be a must for obvious reasons.

But your first instinct is relevant, if they're bipedal quadralimbed creatures with a brain in their head and reproductive organs to the south, or if their evolutionary path paralleled us, then it is likely natural selection would lead them to similar attraction. I don't know about the "beta male" thing since we're not dogs, and that's not an actual thing among humans, but there is something to be said about people who are weak, flabby, and gross.
