Smash Bros Ultimate (NS) (Currently at 85 hours)
Tangledeep (NS) (Currently at 30 hours) - Playing through New Game+ now, first time I've ever actually done a NG+ run

In queue:
Dragon Quest XI S (NS)
Fire Emblem: Three Houses (NS)
Pokemon Shield (NS)
Astral Chain (NS)
Bayonetta 3 (NS)

Finished two games but my backlog has grown in the past few weeks.

Finished Diablo 3's campaign, really liked it, I'll definitely come back to make seasonal characters and stuff when I have nothing on the back-burner. The Overcooked 2 Campfire DLC was good too, the backpack mechanic is infuriating, but my fiance and I had a good time as always finishing it. Looking forward to the next round of content.

I picked up Final Fantasy X/X-2 (in Japan so they're both on the cartridge too!), and Hollow Knight in the last few days. Hollow Knight isn't the type of game I really like at all, but it's made by a studio from my hometown (Adelaide, South Australia), and the music and art style are great so I wanted to at least show my support for their work. I'll play through it after FFX/X-2, which I've heard good things about. I'm hoping they're more like IX than VII, as I didn't really like the latter at all.

Meanwhile I played about 10 minutes of Quest of Dungeons and regretted buying it, I love mystery dungeon games, but it didn't click for me at all.

So you can all sleep a little better tonight, I finished the main campaign of Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online today. So that's TWO (!) games this year. At roughly 600 hours played between the 2 of them in 2019. Still going to do some post game cleanup, and go for the platinum. I'm going to smash my PSN gameplay time from last year. Assuming they do the statistics dealie again.

I don't see a problem bumping it every game unless they are very short games, and you are knocking one out every day lol.

I finished KH Chain of Memories and now I am on KH2. I sadly won't finish before KH3 is out, and I have like 3 more games before it. I am fairly patient though, so it isn't a huge issue. The bigger issue is I will be working full time soon, and probably will barely play any games.

The only update that I have in around 4 months is that I beat KH2 and KH Birth by sleep (PS4). Also had a pretty good campaign as Tibet in CK2, with about half the map conquered.

Games I've finished in 2019:

Kingdom Hearts (PS4)

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (PS4)

Kingdom Hearts 2
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Currently working on:

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

Games I'm still playing despite being done

Crusader Kings 2 (impossible to beat)

Started but not actively playing:

None

In Queue:

Kingdom Hearts 0.2
Kingdom Hearts 3

Finished Games:

  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
  • Resident Evil 2 (PS4)
  • Kingdom Hearts III
  • 11-11 Memories Retold

Currently Actively Playing:

  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
  • Mortal Kombat 11 (Finished the story, still playing towers, krypt etc.)

Started, but not playing at the moment:

  • Assassin's Creed III Remastered

Games I'm still playing:

  • Overwatch
  • FIFA 19
  • Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
  • Assassin's Creed Odyssey (DLC)

Planned for 2019

  • Final Fantasy XV
  • A Plague Tale: Innocence
  • Days Gone
  • Yakuza 3,4,5,6
  • A bunch of Switch games, once I get the console in the next 2 months

  • StarDew Valley (PC)
In Queue:
  • Astro Bot (PS VR)
  • Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (PC)
  • Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition (PC)

You should put Astro bot as your top priority. It is masterful. Also, what do you think of VR skyrim as opposed to vanilla?

It's fantastic. The Move controllers work really well for the most part to immerse you in the experience.

The only downside is I'm playing on PS4 (not Pro) so the visuals are heavily toned down (especially as I normally play it on PC), but the overall immersion more than make up for it.

Will look to play Astro Bot. It's been on the back-burner for a while but multiple people have recommended it now.

|Finished FFX - Really enjoyable. I liked the story, but think FFIX's was a bit better. Gameplay was smoother in this one though. Looking forward to playing through FFX-2, I've heard it has a much lighter tone, but I like that in games so I think I'll enjoy it.

I had my birthday last week and got a 5000Y eShop card as a present, so I picked up a few indie multiplayer games with it (still have 3000Y to use though).
Art of Balance is great fun, my fiance's really enjoying it, so I can see us playing a fair bit of it. Death Squared is fun too, but I don't know if we'll do much of it, the voices are annoying, and even turned off it can feel frustrating rather than challenging at times. Back to Bed is fun too, we like the atmosphere, innocent on the surface, but something sinister, like Little Nightmares in a way.

Looking forward to the E3 sale to see what else I can pick up.

Art of Balance (NS) (10 hours)
Death Squared (NS) (5 hours)
Back to Bed (NS) (5 hours)

On the backburner (will finish at some point, but not actually playing):
Cuphead (NS) (15 hours)
Final Fantasy X-2 (NS) (6 hours)
Hollow Knight (NS) (1 hour)

Started, but lost interest and quit:
Xenoblade 2 (NS) (4 hours)
Final Fantasy VII (NS) (3 hours)
Yoshi's Craft World (NS) (3 hours)
Quest of Dungeons (NS) (10 minutes)

Finished Art of Balance, Back to Bed and Death Squared, they were all good times that were worth the price of admission. Not the type of guy to build up a backlog, but I have a pretty substantial one at the moment. Picked up the DQH1/2 pack when it was on sale around E3, I'm really enjoying 1 so far, so I'm sure I'll love 2 as well (musou games are my jam). I also found DQVII and DQVIII used at a garage sale, looking forward to playing through them, I hear great things about VIII but have never gotten to it myself.

Cuphead, FFX-2 and Hollow Knight have all gone on the backburner for me. Cuphead is fantastic but is just being pushed out by stuff I want to play more. FFX-2 is fun, but the game's tone isn't light as much as it is overdramatic and ditzy; I loved FFX and want to see the story through to its conclusion but I'm not digging it anywhere near as much. Hollow Knight isn't the type of game I usually play, and it hasn't really clicked with me, I love the atmosphere though.
