It wasn't a great game but I do own it and I never finished it. Hopefully Remember Me gets the treatment in 2019. It's a game I want to love but never gave a chance.

That's also sitting on my backlog, I'll add it to the list.

Are the servers even still online for that? I would have assumed that Sega shut them down to funnel as many people as possible into Phantasy Star Online 2. Even if the PC servers are still online, OG Xbox servers were shut down for all games in 2010. As far as I know, online hasn't been revived for any OG Xbox game that is on BC so far. It's a shame, I wish that EA would work with Microsoft to get online servers running for the original Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Correct. The online servers have been completely shuttered for the Original Xbox.
With that said... There are ways around that so you can still play Original Xbox games online. - Although... Some caveats.

Case in point: https://teamxlink.co.uk/

Good suggestions.

Two of those just had a rerelease this year. Eternal Sonata is likely due for one. But none of this will happen on Xbox I assume. So BC support makes sense given its not work.

My advice for MS is add some sort of curated support of Windows games to the X1 and whatever the next console is. That would add a great library of games to the X1 with no significant work. Something like that could even help move hardware.

I don't need 360 games which I can get in a better version (f.e. PC, Xbox 1, PS4 or Switch).

But I'd love to see BC for these games:

  • Condemned 2
  • Crackdown 2
  • Eternal Sonata
  • Fight Night Round 3 + 4
  • Forza Motorsport 3 + 4
  • Project Gotham Racing 3 + 4
Oh, and some Guitar Hero / Rock band games, especially "The Beatles: Rock Band" would be great... but probably a licensing nightmare.

Halo deuce and Timesplitters deuce aren't BC??? Wow.

Insert Coin. Press START. You Died. Continue?

Tmainly ones from the original Xbox spring to mind, and you've already listed them but:

Red Dead Revolver
Timesplitters games
Simpsons Hit and Run

X1 version of Forza Horizon 2 has already been removed from the store due to licensing, so that seems very unlikely.
Fez developer doesn't make games any more. I doubt he would touch it again.
Btw. if you have an Xbox One X, the Arkham games are very much playable and better than the originals. Still a bad remaster but a little upgrade over the 360 versions.

Overall still a few notable games left, but last year saw so many excellent games coming to the BC program. Topping that is impossible.

For some reasons the 360 version is still listed. But I find it odd they didn't give away Forza Horizon 2 before it was removed. The 360 version is still possible for BC but maybe not for long.

Simply adding Fez to BC requires no work from the developer, just approval.

The remasters still seem pretty rough on a X1X from what I've seen. More importantly, adding the original 360 games to BC should be a better experience for base console users. There is also the potential of 4K via the X1X. Simply doing that what give Xbox One X the definitive console experience.

The did give away the X1 version of Forza Horizon 2 in August they also had all the DLC on sale before it got de listed so I bought the second Fast and the Furious car pack which was the only one I didn't buy since those cars launched with FM6.  The 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 has less radio stations and never got any DLC cars that is why its probably still available digitally.  DLC car licenses is usually why Forza games get de listed.

The Forza games have expired car licenses and the Project Gotham Racing games have expired car licenses and music licenses.

Beautiful Katamari, Infinite Undiscovery and Magna Carta 2 are games I would like to show up also but I doubt it will happen.
