2019 is looking stacked so far between third party/exclusives.

I just hope Yoshi lands in the first four months, otherwise I'll have to wait until late May for Team Sonic Racing before my dry spell is broken. They say Spring, but that with Nintendo that tends to mean June. (ARMS, Mario Tennis)

Yeah Yoshi better be early in 2019. At this time I don't see any excuse. They're taking this long to make a platformer, that part confuses me.

Outsorce some big internal games to 3rd parties could complicate and not do much, also just expanding teams cant gave results, simple, strong/big games need time in any case.

Outsourcing games has given great results on numerous occasions going back to the SNES days. Stop making excuses for them, they've been given years and years to fix this problem, first it was "oh they need to get used to HD development" then it was "oh they're supporting two platforms". There are no longer any excuses for them to ever have a stretch as weak as they did this Jan-Oct.

I gave you very logical potential reasons, you keep ignore them, and saying they are lazy and ignorant without any proof. Also, like other stated Nintendo this year released plenty of games. They dont have problem with HD development, while fact is that big games require longer time for development in any case, its hard to have strong hole 1st year and strong hole 2nd year, if thats was easy Nintendo would done that, I mean they had some very strong games in 2017. some very strong games at end of 2018. and they will have some very strong games in 2019.

That'd be great, I really hope it is a March/April release. Bring on that January Direct!

So far the 2019 games I'm getting are: Yoshi, Sonic Racing, Doom Eternal, Trine 4, and Luigi's Mansion 3. Plus I'm sure they'll be at least one more I'll get that hasn't been announced yet. That already puts it lightyears ahead of 2018.

Including 3rd parties, what games did you get in 2018?

Hopefully Nintendo will learn from the mistakes of 2018 and in future years focus more on a steady cadence of new core games throughout the year as they did in 2017 to great effect. They got lazy and arrogant this year and thought they could cruise to 20 million by relying mostly on old ports and B/C tier games while going 13 long months without a proper system seller. They'd better not make that mistake again.

There were more new games this year than ports, so no.
