Will Atlus concede Persona 6 to Nintendo if and when Catherine: Full Body gets censored?

Friendly reminder that the Nekopara devs also said it had no white lights, yet it got censored in other ways, so this is almost a direct confirmation that they're going to censor it. Otherwise, they would've outright said it won't be censored instead of trying to skirt around the issue by saying the lights won't be tampered with.

There goes Persona as a Sony exclusive franchise. Seriously, Atlus/Sega won't put up with Sony's bullshit censorship policy, it's definitely leaving Sony at least as an exclusive, if not outright deferred to another platform holder (hello, Nintendo).

where is the proof of this happening or is it pure speculation.

 

just like people saying o no now im gonna skip ps5 and go to xbox. great idea because xbox has such a great record of releasing japanese games.

 

and on the entire censorship of catherine full body shouldnt we wait until its released to compare it to the original one to see if anything is censored. because as far as i can remember there wasnt anything worth censoring in the original.

Such as? Nintendo has censored its own games and games it publishes (such as Bravely Default) for a long time, but they haven't curated third-party content since like the 1990s. And there's a big difference between Nintendo saying, "Let's change our own games for different markets" even though I still disagree with that, and Sony saying, "Let's tell third-party devs what they can and can't do regardless of the local ratings boards." I guess... but they also haven’t really had any mature games on their systems that they would have to worry about that with...  there really isn’t a market for those type of games on Nintendo systems... but I’m pretty sure Nintendo would have issues with third party games with mature content like that.  It’s basically part of their culture and is a counter to the audience they are trying to cultivate.  I guess I can’t really say for sure since Nintendo doesn’t really deal with third parties that much anymore...  basically, I would think Nintendo would try to censor more based on their history, audience, and business culture.

Can you report some instances in the persona series that might be subject to censorship?

I really can't think of a single one to be honest.

Oh yes, nothing the Western overlords at Sony would want censored or be demonized by puritanical non-gamer SJWs/Western journalists AT ALL.

Because throwing your ACTUAL customers under the bus to appeal to people who don't even play games/buy comics is clearly a sound business decision as has been proven time and time again.

None of those images, particularly the Persona ones, have anything that would be censored. You appear to be delusional. Just simply wait for the Catherine release where you will easily be able to compare the PS4 ver to the PS3 one.

Well, they aren't. At least, not in the same capacity that Sony is doing. This is 100% PS3-style "Smug Sony." They always pull the most boneheaded moves when they think they're invincible and then bend over backwards to win customers back.

Actually, Catherine might have some objectionable content and particularly with the phone mail if we go by Sony's current censorship policy but OP is almost certainly reaching since he's using CD drama cover art that's NOT even a part of the game itself and likely the other pictures appear to be either concept or fan art which reveals quite a bit about OP's rationale underneath his pretenses ...

While I feel that there is a strong possibility that Peraona 6 (and maybe even a port of 5) will be coming to Switch as well as Playstation, I highly doubt it would be because of this. There really is not that much to censor (if anything) in Persona games anyway, compared to the games actually being censored.
