Forums - Gaming Discussion - Tales of Vesperia battle load time comparison. Switch vs PS4

As others have pointed out, this is not apples to apples. All that I think we can reasonably infer here is that load times are similar.

Any information about the frame rate on switch and ps4? 60 fps would be nice in this game.

The PS4 footage was 60 fps.

The switch was 30 fps, but it wasn't a direct feed.  The game will most likely be 60 fps.

3-5 seconds per battle, huh?

If the docked version is 1080p, my bet would be on it being the same as the PS3/360 versions (30fps in field, 60fps in battle). 720p/30fps to 1080p/60fps is a big jump for the Switch to make on most major PS3/360 titles, even the X1 doesn't always pull it off perfectly. I wouldn't say it's impossible, Vesperia wasn't exactly a technical showcase even in 2009, but if it can be reasonably done then it'd require them to put in more effort then I usually expect :p

Thats nice!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

PS4 should be 60 as I believe the original 360 version was 60. Not sure switch will be though.

Wow, it really is a bit faster. I won't have any regrets getting the Switch version then. Still, it would be interesting to see a comparison from the same area. That PS4 battle took place right after loading a new area, and the area was different and could have had a different amount of assets to load than the area in the Switch version. Ideally also the enemies should be the same in the battle that gets loaded. Whatever the case, it's definitely very close and I won't be missing out. God I miss the Tales series, it's been so long. Can't wait for this to release.

Nintendo fans on framerate: Why do people care about frame rate so much? I don't play numbers I play games!

Nintendo fans on load times: Wow it's one millisecond faster? Switch for the win babeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

Needs more polish.

Wow! That is impressive! Considering you could fit like 5 Switch in a PS4
