The SNES was 224p....
The PS1 did have alot of 480i games though, so more like "in glorious 640x480".
Call me keen. Can't wait to pre-order it.
Will look fantastic next to my NES and SNES classics.

I think so. Both very expensive.
By the way, do we know if the controllers will be wireless or not? I'm pretty much interested in the thing as a homebrew machine for PS1 emulation, but if it's too cumbersome I'll wait to see an alternative.

Hahahaha...no. most PS1 games are 240p (my bad). Very few ran at 480i.
Also, SNES uses mostly 2D sprites... which look reasonably well even on HD/4K displays. The same can't be said of the low poly 3D graphics on PS1.
They actually called it Classic. Good for them.

I think I might actually own most the games they put on this and my PSOne still works. :P
Hmm, pie.
Why offer BC when you can offer online streaming and classic retro consoles? Going to be tough for MS to follow suit now and have a legit reason to. PS1 classic vs N64 classic would be sweet to see this holiday. lol. Maybe this is why PS felt they were going to sell less PS4's this year.
