rabbis is using a nintendo IP, and octopath has falling off a cliff.

Just like many small games on ps4 also has falling off a giant mountain.

yea switch is diffidently king when it comes to selling indie games for obvious reasons, ps4 has tons of AAA games, and switch is perfect for indie games with the portability factor.

Well looks like the Switch has stabilized, they aren't great sales but not bad either. It's only 1 and a half years old and it's doing ehhh. As long as the console has weak third party support (definitely never will have good third party support) and a bad games calendar the Switch will do pretty much this, which is ok.

Eh, when's the last time you said something was falling off a cliff? :P

All jokes aside, its still really impressive of what a new JRPG IP has been able to do in this current gaming climate.

switch audience has been eating up old school retro looking games so its not a surprise  to me, it did good but thats the top for what a third party seitch game can do 1-1.5 million.

Thats maybe top just currently, with bigger install base and more time some game is in sale stronger sales will be, Octopath is already around 1.5m and it will pass 2m LT easily.

Havent heard that the Rabbids title crossed 2 million? Octopath is likely to get there aswell

Octopath will most likely has a similar slope as Persona 5, slowing making it's way to 2 million. Persona 5 didn't chart on the npd in its second month as well.

AAA thurd party support is weak, but indie support is amazing.  The total number of games on the system will probably match PS4 in 10-14 months

were not talking about persona, we are talking about third party games on switch, they just don't any third-party that make AAA third party developers take notice.

They are comparable though.

no it won't, it shipped 1 million, it will probably ship another 600k best case scenario. sales are pretty much dead now.
