I can't put my finger on it, but this list just seems... weird. Not sure why.

What would you change in this list?

I think Fire Emblem, Daemon, and Animal crossing will all be earlier then you expect them to be. They did say spring for Fire emblem, so I am expecting March/ April. Also, only having one more brand new game to be unannounced for next year also seems weird. But I hope they do pump out 3 more smash characters next year, that would be amazing

:( Just checked their website.

They have it listed as Spring 2019.

Well Kirby was spring 2018 too i think and it ended up early March.

I think Yoshi will be the May/June title and Animal crossing august/september

Crafted World looks further along than Three Houses, and it was playable at last year's E3, so definitely March/April. Plus Three Houses wasn't in this direct, so I'd say it's May/June. Heck if it weren't for the Spring specific window, I'd think Daemon X Machina would also release before Three Houses, but that's probably coming in June/July. That timeframe for Animal Crossing is possible, but we saw nothing of the game, whereas Luigi's Mansion 3 atleast had some gameplay and a full title, so it should release first, possibly that same August/September window. Like Pokemon I've no doubt Animal Crossing will be holiday, so October-December.

I think 2019 will be looking something like this:

January - New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes
February - Town and Smash DLC 1
March - Yoshi's Crafted World
April - Wii or WiiU port
May - Nintendo Labo and Smash DLC 2
June - Fire Emblem: Three Houses
July - Daemon X Machina
August - Shin Megami Tensei V and Wii/WiiU port
September - Luigi's Mansion 3 and new Nintendo Labo
October - unannounced game and Smash DLC 3
November - Pokémon Gen 8
December - Animal Crossing

+ few third party exclusives (mostly from Japan)

Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 will arive in 2020.

First party wise, I think it'll look more like this.

January: NSMBU:DX

February: New Puzzle League game for Switch/3DS, Fit Boxing

March: Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Some Wii U port

April:  Nintendo Labo: Toy-Con 4 - Outdoors Kit, Yoshi's Crafted World

May: Daemon X Machina, a New episodic IP,

June: WarioWare: FreeStyle, Luigi's Mansion 3

July: New IP, Nintendo Labo: Toy-Con 5 - City Kit

August: ARMS II, Fire Emblem: Three Houses Expansion 1

September: Pokemon Rose and Violet

October: Fire Emblem Arc System Works Fighter, New IP

November: Metroid Prime 4: Desolation, Nintendo Labo: Toy-Con 6 - Action Kit

December: Animal Crossing Road Trip, Fire Emblem: Three Houses Expansion 2

September: Pokemon Rose and Violet

Pokemon has taken up the slot a week before black friday for five years on a row now. That's not going to change.

Pokemon OR/AS: November 21st, 2014

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon: November 20th, 2015

Pokemon Sun/Moon: November 18th, 2016

Pokemon US/UM: November 17th, 2017

Pokemon Lets Go: November 16th, 2018

Pokemon has literally staked it's claim for that spot in the year, and it's not going to move. Kinda like how COD was first week over November for over a decade.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Well that's pretty much a given lmao. Let's say it can still sell like 9 millions in 2018, that would put it to almost 30 millions starting 2019. I think it will pass the 50 million mark before 2020 maybe even 55 millions. Y'all ain't ready for this monster to go full force.

Also Fire emblem games usually release in March. Bayonetta 3 will release in november 2019 for sure and Metroid will be a January/February 2020 title imo. They don't need Metroid in 2019 and i just want them to take their time tbh. We don't even have the trilogy announced yet (which is obvious they will do) which they will for sure release maybe a year or so before the actual game comes out.

It's a given, that with Nintendo present big time at the Game Awards every year, they will be present this year again. They always show the more mature content (which is the target audience of the ceremony), so it would be between Bayonetta 3 (which i don't think they will show 2 years in a row) and a little teaser of Metroid Prime 4. I really think they will just go with Metroid and drop the trilogy announcement for February (like bayonetta 1-2 last year).

Pokemon is November, I'm thinking Bayo is early 2020 with Metroid late 2019

Pokemon have always been in october except for some exceptions.

Yea Animal crossing new leaf was november, so i guess Pokemon going back to early october and Animal crossing taking mid november would make sense. You have a final spot for a more mature game like Metroid or Bayonetta 3 in december (like Smash and Xenoblade C2).

Luigi could be the summer title i guess. In any case, this next year is looking phenomenal (if games deliver, but i'm sure they will since they have less pressure to half ass games on Switch).

Pokemon has been November since 2014, it will stay that way. I'm sure gen 8 will launch november 15

January: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
February: Metroid Prime Trilogy HD
March: Yoshi's Crafted World
April: Daemon X Machina
May: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
June: Animal Crossing
July: Mario Golf / Town
August: Star Fox Racing
September: Metroid Prime 4
October: Luigi's Mansion 3
November: Pokemon Gen 8
December: 2D Zelda

I also expect that last Wii U ports coming over in 2019 to be XCX/W101. Months will probably end up being wrong on most games, but I suspect this is what the year will look like.

It is a really good lineup. However, I do expect some of those titles to be delayed somewhat. I don't see Metroid Prime 4 coming out until 2020 (though based on many of the same rumors that got New Super Mario Bros Deluxe right, it seems like a Metroid Prime trilogy is a lock for 2019). And in one interview I felt that they were still being a bit tentative about Pokemon Gen 8. With that said, it is still a really good lineup even if it does spill over to 2020. In the event of delays, I do hope they have some more Wii U ports lined up. I am still hoping for SM3DW, Pikmin 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wonderful 101, Zelda collection, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions (although I can see some of these being released towards the end of the system's life as the team's prepare to move onto the next system but still want to keep Switch, much like the ports the 3DS is receiving now).

2017 was a great year (maybe the best in Nintendo history). I don't know if Nintendo can beat him that quickly.

Zelda BotW and Odyssey make difference, but 2019. will most likely have more better games than 2017. had, espacily if we talk about new games.

In 2017 we have also Arms, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbits, Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade 2. Nintendo has set the bar high ;)

Imo Fire Emblem will be big game for May/June. And You are right - we probably will see more unannounced first party titles than was on my list.

Nice list! I hope 2019 will be like this :) Especialy Metroid Prime Trilogy HD and Zelda 2D will be great. But for me is too many good games for one year. I don't think we can count on such generosity from Nintendo.

I also think we could have something like that, I also have similar thoughts about months of releases expect I would change months of releases for 2D/Remaster Zelda with Metroid Prime 4, and I would just put Pikmin 4 also like possible release.

Yeah, but for 2019. we just from confirmed games already have: Daemon X Machina, Yoshi's Crafted World, Fire Emblem, Luigi's Mansion 3, Animal Crossing, Pokémon Gen 8, Town so IMO 2019. lineup is already comparable with 2017. when we talk about 1st party/exclusives games, and I expecting at least around 5 more 2019. announcements counting 3rd party exclusives and Wii U ports.

Switch 2017:

-Zelda BotW

-MK8D

-ARMS

-Splatoon2

-Fire Emblem Warriors

-Pokemon Tournaments

-Mario + Rabbits

-Mario Odyssey

-Xenoblade 2

Switch 2018:

-Bayonetta 1/2

-Kirby Star Allies

-Nintendo Labo: Toy-Con 01: Variety Kit/Robo Kit

-DKTF

-Hyrule Warriors

-Mario Tennis Aces

-Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

-Octopath Traveler

-Nintendo Labo - Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit

-Xenoblade 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country

-Super Mario Party

-Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!

-Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Switch 2019 for now and only confirmed games:

-NSMBUD

-Yoshi's Crafted World

-Daemon X Machina

-Fire Emblem

-Animal Crossing

-Town

-Luigi's Mansion 3

-Pokémon Gen 8

Just for record, last year in September we had like only 2-3 games confirmed for 2018. lineup, Kirby and Octopath Traveler if I recall.

I will later make thread about that comparing lineup for Switch per years.
