CoD from PS3/360 were ported to Wii, and we talking about much bigger difrence in any case betwine Wii and PS3/360 compared to Switch and XB1/PS4.

We are not just talking a power difference either.
The GPU on the Wii was essentially a generation behind as well, lacking any SM3.0 compliance.

The ports were actually pretty impressive from a technical perspective... But also highlights how graphically poor Call of Duty games tend to also be.
The real kicker was that the games didn't run at a solid 60fps, 720P on the 7th gen hardware either.

You talk as if this game won’t make 10’s of billions of dollars without Switch. It’s got nothing to do with talent. Why spend the effort when it’s not going to make or break them, because 1) it doesn’t need Switch to sell, and 2) it’s not going to sell very well on Switch anyways. Even with Bethesda’s game having “good” sales numbers on Switch, there has yet to be any western AAA third party title that has sold that well on Switch that the developer just needs it.

Since when is more profit not better than enough profit?

This!

We seems to forget that market trend and consumer tendencies change or evolve with time. Something popular now won’t always stay popular. Some people might dismiss Fornite, but there’s a trend with the F2P model getting more and more traction. Simply adding a Battle Royal mode might not be enough to keep the franchise in the long term if this trend continues. They should not dismiss any platform if they can.

Yeah, thats why I wrote in any case.

I know it's the stereotypical nintendo fanboy response to say "oh well I didn't want it anyway" but I didn't want it anyway. It's cod I don't care, if this was like id software then I'd be hurt

People should ask nintendo to make a decently powerful console next time.they always make their console or handheld way underpowered compared to competition.even ps4 and x1 feels like way underpowered now.also third party developer are lazy except few.they don't optimize their game well and it's run like shit on base ps4.witcher 3 for example runs like crap on ps4.if cdpr next game cp2077 runs like crap on ps4 then I will never going to buy game from them.

He is not laughing at the sales, he is laughing at the hardware it has and has no way of handling it, he found it funny someone would even ask this.

Depends on if they want to lower their standards or not.
CoD is a 60FPS game. If they wanna keep it that way, the Switch has no chance.

Black Ops 3 was a nightmare on PS3 and 360. Visually ugly and really bad framerate.

This and Black Ops 4 has a BR mode which the switch might not be able to handle without some serious downgrades.

In the interview, he says that they are a 60fps studio and that is always the goal.  He also says that it's hard getting to 60fps with the large maps they're using.  That gave me the impression that dips in framerate will be common.

And that, I would assume, is talking about the base Xbox and Playstation hardware.

That's why it kind of bugs me when people say, "X game was ported, that means Y game will be easy to port, too."  Well, no, it doesn't necessarily mean that.  Games utilize different resources in different ways.  You can't make that assumption, especially about a game that hasn't even been released.

Could he have been more insulting?

Probably not the "idea" of putting it on the switch, but the possibility.
Switch cant run everything thats PS4 or XB1.
