I really hope this can turn into something as an end product, but surely there should be some caution now with hyping up anything related to this game?

Respect to the devs for sticking with this. I do hope this can be close to what people always wanted and that they can regain some credibility.

I think they were quite shrewd making sure to officially title this 'No Man's Sky NEXT', so if it ends up being a drastic enough reworking of the game then it lends way to people reviewing/judging the game as something completely new.

No, he just made the mistake lots of people do when they start. You don't try to line the edges up, you point the cursor at where you want them to link.
