Well, that's another 35k in the bank for the PS4 in calendar 2018 to buffer against the onslaught of the holiday season that the Switch will dominate.

I just want the next big exclusive to drop (Spiderman) to see how much of an effect it has on sales.

No matter how many units the PS4 gets piled up in its bank account.  The NPD analyst already predicted the outcome.

Xbone sales are getting worse and worse.

Yeah no way NS takes it this year, once september hits its ps4 all the way, Destiny 2 and Spiderman followd by COD and BF2

Don't worry, it's actually August 7th for the June NPD. July is on the 21st.

hmm.. I was sure that the switch was ready to get >200K from now for the next 4 years at least.

NPD analysts are pretty shocked at how well the ps4 has been doing since it's almost significantly up YOY YTD in the U.S. I guess maybe having, MONSTER HUNTER, GOD OF WAR, AND FORTNITE by run away successes this year have pushed the ps4 to new heights. Who knows what SPIDERMAN, RED DEAD, AND THE NEW BLACK OPS sequel will do when it competes against Pokemon Go and Smash #25. The only thing that tells me that the ps4 won't best 2017 as it's best year to date, is the fact sony has lowered it's forecast for some reason, which I believe suggests they aren't cutting price this year. In fact last year they had the ps4 at $249 for the days of play deal, this year they had it at $299.
