damn those trailers really nostalgic

Soooo pumped for this!!!!

This one of those games where even though I wouldn't play it myself, I am very interested in it, just to see how it performs. It's a real wild card, it could either fizzle like a wet match or it could explode like a hydrogen bomb. I'm leaning towards the latter, but it's very hard to call, it's so polarizing.

Starting to get a bit more interested in this. I just hope the success of this doesn't completely overshadow the success of the core 2019 game. That would be very bad for the future of the franchise.

I was pretty interested at first, but if throwing balls has replaced fighting as a major mechanic, I'm not too interested. One of Pokémon Go's main faults is the throwing mechanic, which is fine by itself but it's not good enough for a main mechanic. It's also somewhat anti-immersive, as I would imagine it takes more to convince the Pokémon than just throwing balls at them...

At least the legendary Pokémon can be battled

I know there are still battles, it's just that if there's going to be more throwing balls than fighting, the balance just is off. It's definitely not as bad as it could be, but it's still pretty bad - unless throwing balls is much, much better than in Pokémon Go - which doesn't seem to be the case here.

The game is looking pretty good I'll admit. I'm not nearly as excited for this one as the core title in 2019, but I have to say... the nostalgia is strong with this one. Brock and Misty's character models look fantastic. They all do, really, the NPCs and Pokemon alike. Very pretty game. Also a smart move to use the blur effect on the backgrounds when focusing in on Pokemon and such. Really looks great.

Yup, not that excited about that aspect either, but hey, of this means more time for them to polish up next year's core title , i dont have a problem.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about this or anything. I consider this sort of an extra game anyway. I'm just a bit disappointed it doesn't sound like it's what it could have been.
