To add to your point. People need to look at the bigger picture, instead of focusing on small one (this applies to a lot of people). It rose by nearly 100% since November, for it to suddenly have decline by 10%. (Which by the way, since has risen by 5%)

MHW is a success, please need to stop acting like it is not.

Yes, capcom has some concerning spots of poor management of success, they are essentially how take-two was last generation, some how producing hits, but financially that was not being reflected, but that doesn't change the fact that the games itself were hits.

This one as well. Very well said. Especially the last part. I think I read this in ResetEra Capcom is suffering from identity crisis atm but MHW is a great start for them.
RE2 remake looks promising as well.
Capcom also need to revive some of their old IPS. Dino Crisis, Lost Planet reboot Onimusha and Dead Rising with Battle Royal element.
Deep Down needs to be release. That game looks very promising. With today's market. That game has all the potential. Perfect for streaming and co-op with friends.

Capcom also needs a success story in mobile. People really underestimate the profit Mobile are  giving to a lot of devs.

Do you think Denuvo has anything to do with this as well? I wonder if this is a thing in Japan too that people might not like?

I have limited knowledge with it comes to PC gaming so I based it on common knowledge.
If you are talking about business or the stock market. Not really. A shareholder would even prefer it.

Sales wise then let's wait and see when MHW PC launch. PC gaming in Japan as I recall is not that big. PC gaming is bigger outside Japan. SEA market, China, S. Korea and other parts of Asia.

Can't wait to see how much Octopath sold, errr, shipped tomorrow!

I didn’t know SMT V, Yokai Watch 4, Octopath, or Bayonetta 3 are going to be casual games.

Let's make some things clear.

I didn't say that Switch would have only casual games. Of course it will have core games. Even WiiU had some.

I didn't say that every single core game would sell better on PS4 or that all core games would flop on Switch.

I'm speaking of economic TENDENCIES. We are on a sales website so we observe market orientations. It's not a matter of always/never.

Since I'm asked to define, a casual gamer is a person that spends less time & money in gaming than others.

What I'm saying is that Switch owners, in Japan and elsewhere, buy much less 3rd party games than PS4/X1 gamers, and even less when it comes to core 3rd party games (RPG, survival-horror, shooter, realistic racing, action, sports). In the other hand, they buy casual games and indies more often (Bomberman, Snack World and countless indies doing well on Switch).

So the conclusion is that Switch is likely to miss many core 3rd party games in the future (as E3 clearly demonstrated) and receive more casual games & indies than PS4/X1.

Your definition of casual gamer is problematic and doesn't really lend any credibility to your argument though...

If a casual gamer is simply someone who spends less time and money than a 'core' gamer, that means someone who buys Halo 4 for 60 dollars, plays the campaign for 10 hours then quits is more casual than someone who spends $100 in Pokemon Go and plays it for 50 hours within the same period of time... So it is seemingly completely unrelated to the type of game...

But this can't be the case as you then go on to use the term 'casual game'. So what do you mean here? A shallow game? A game based on micro-transactions? A low-budget game? A game that is also available on phones? Or any game that is played under a certain number of hours..?

I'm also confused by your ommitance of Indie games from the 3rd party games... Aren't indies 3rd party? It seems like you are deliberately excluding them from a category they legitimately belong to, purely in order support your initial hypothesis - that 3rd party games don't sell as well on Nintendo Switch...

I don't doubt that certain styles & genres of game will sell better or worse on a particular platform relative to others, but not in the overly-simplistic way you are proposing.

Lastly, let's say that I accept your inference that Switch attracts more casuals - wouldn't it also be the case that it also attracts more  'core' gamers due to it's high sales of indie games? After all you need to have a deeper working knowledge of gaming to even be aware of those games existence due to the relatively tiny marketing budgets. You don't need to be a passionate follower of gaming and/or the industry to hear about GOW, BOTW or GTA...

What are you actually trying to say?

Bad result for Zanki Zero. Huge blow to Spike, this game has been in development for some time... It's so good though.

Dengeki ranking is up, time for market share data.

Ys8 : PS4 60491 (45%) PSV 63157 (48%) NS 9539 (7%)

DeathMark : PS4 2040 (13%) PSV 12116 (77%) NS 1496 (10%)

Once again, more proof that 3rd parties are struggling on Switch (despite the growing userbase and the shitload of advertisment)

We also have some intel that Shining Resonance has a hard time selling on Switch. On the other hand, Fate Extella Link crosses 150K physical. Not very difficult to see where the market is. Let's hope that publishers notice...

I love how this guy just keeps cherry picking examples of third party games supposedly failing on Switch lol.

Any chance for Zanki Zero hit Western markets?

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019
