Cristiano Ronaldo aka The G.O.A.T. has been sold to Italy's greatest team, Juventus. Juventus are now a major threat in the Champions League and a lock in to win the Serie A for the 8th year in a row.

Hahaha, slow down, pal.
Ronaldo is great, but he's no Pele.

I think the discussions who is the G.O.A.T. in a team sport makes no sense at all. It is to much dependent who their team mates are. Especially at the world cup it was clearly recognizable that the two players who won the Ballon d'Or over the last ten years could not prevent an early exit from the tournament without several superstars in their team.

This, but mainly because he knew we would not be responsible for choosing Ronaldo's replacement(s). Florentino only wants big names for the club, and cannot see (or doesn't want to see) which players are really needed for the squad, well, he is indeed a businessman.
Zidane may not be the greatest coach but he is a smart man.

Exactly in team sports you have to break the G.O.A.T. talk down into the different positions played. Even in individual sports who is the greatest is not always clear cut. Roger Federer is the greatest male tennis player of all time but Rafael Nadal is easily the greatest clay court tennis player of all time regardless of sex. No one is even going to come close to winning the French Open 11 times and he might just win it a couple more times before he completely retires.

Not to mention the absurd amount of merchandise he's sold for them, and his absolutely paramount role in several CL wins, which are immensely valuable in sponsor deals and prizes, as well as insane prices on TV rights (I used to have a sports streaming service, they had to double their monthly fee due to increased costs of showing CL and other competitions).
I don't like Ronaldo much at all, personally, but he is an amazing player and a living legend and one has to admire what he's accomplished in Madrid.
Did they buy more all star players or are they expecting one player to carry an entire team? Unless they also expect his new line of merchandise to sell millions upon millions (Which it will honestly) as a means of making this money back quickly.
