Bruh, It's not an intentional decision. The Switch doesn't have the graphical power to handle that booty.

The Wii could only handle Snake 'cause it wasn't HD.

Then how do you explain the downgrade?

They probably wanted the fighters to be functional. It's not the finished version. Besides, zero suit is actually muscular this time.

When actually playing the game, the characters are pretty small. So, there really is no reason to spend processing power rendering stuff that can't be seen. It seems to me that they were focusing on quantity here, rather than quality. We may or may not like that. But, it seems to be the case either way.

It isn't really a "downgrade" in graphics since everything besides how far the polygons are jutting out is much improved. It's a downgrade in fanservice, which is different.
