Persona 5 New Game+ and Horizon. Yakuza Kiwami and Nier Automata are in my backlog.

You'll definitely like FFXII: TZA, especially when you get the option to choose the secondary classes for your characters.

Yeah I like the idea of having two classes... I actually made a thread here on the forums asking about job combinations last year, although even back then I said I wouldn't be playing it for a while... and I've still not played it yet lol. How long is a "while"? :P

I might actually just say fuck it, got some spare time coming up in the next week, so see if I can finish the game in time, I mean, I finished Final Fantasy XV and did a lot of side content (All the side quests for the trophy, 80 I believe, 11 of the 13 Royal Tombs, and quite a few hunts) in 67 hours in about a month, so maybe... hmm!

Oh yeah, it was you who made that thread. Damn that is quite a while ago.

The remaster has a speedup function and you can set to 2x or 4x. If you're in a hurry, then this may come in handy.

I'm kinda bummed EDF 5 might not have a physical release. Not sure what to think. I do buy digital only games. Love Housmarque for example. But they never had a physical editions. I never had the option yanked away. And Housmarque games aren't full priced. I have never purchased a full priced digital game, although I have a purchased a small number of AA/AAA games on sale. EDF 5 is $79.99 and $119.99 for the regular and deluxe editions respectively. That's uncharted waters for me, and I'm highly reluctant to purchase it. It's also a top 10 franchise for me, and I've been looking forward to EDF 5 for a long time. Torn on this, but leaning towards not buying it.

So... what's everyone playing at the moment then?

It seems to be quiet in terms of big releases until September, so there's nothing new for me to pick up yet. Last week I actually made some progress with my backlog, as I mentioned before, I finished three games in nine days, which is no big feat for some people, but for anyone with severely limited time such as myself, it's a pretty big deal lol. I decided to take a few days off before jumping into another game, since those three I literally dived into one within an hour of finishing the other.

I REALLY want to start Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, but I'm going away on holiday in four weeks (Well, for weeks on Friday to be exact), and my goal would be to finish it before I go away, but that'd probably mean rushing it and missing out on a lot of stuff, I like to take my time with RPGs, especially Final Fantasy games since they have a lot to offer, and since it's the only mainline game I've never played, I have the feeling I'll want to spend quite a bit of time with it, lol.

Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate on the Vita ( and a little EDF 2 ), and Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus on PS3. I haven't been able to play my PS4 for over a week now, but plan to get back to Matterfall.

I guess your best bet is to hope that Limited Run Games release a physical version of EDF 5 and you can get a copy before they run out... It sucks going from having a physical version to digital-only, though :/

He also said GT Sport will definitely come before 2017. Released 2017. Never listen to the guy, and I'm a big Polyphony fan.

Release dates are different, though. Development cycles can be volatile due to unexpected roadblocks. Implementation of MTs, on the other hand, aren’t dependent on development cycles and release dates. It is dependent on the developer wanting to implement MTs.

He talked with absolute surety and negated any possibility of it coming after 2016. I've heard talks of microtransactions being demanded by FIA themselves because some of their drivers didn't have the time to grind for credits.

Regardless it would be hypocritical of Yong to not criticise Sony for what he criticised every other publisher. But he never acknowledged the good stuff Polyphony gave us for 9 months and this is the only time he discussed this game. Its negative bias. Its not new, gamers like negativity and Yong is just following the money and goodwill of audiences but it comes off a little ridiculous.

For some reason when I get a Platinum I feel empty and than I question what was the point. But I guess my proudest platinum was Demon's Souls, those stupid upgrading with each type of upgrade stone trophies were incredibly annoying.

I felt like that the other day when I got the Undertale platinum trophy, I sat spamming X to donate money to a dog in return for trophies, then when it popped I just sort of went "... why did I even do that?", lol.

I, too, have the platinum for Demon's Souls, it's actually the only Souls game I have a platinum for, and will most likely be the only one... it took me quite a while, those upgrades were such a pain in the arse, but meh, it's one platinum that I was actually proud of. I also have a second trophy of the list at 1%, because my friend imported it from US (Before it got an EU release) and played it on my PS3, only got one trophy lol... when it came out properly over here I thought I'd just be able to carry on but it turns out it's a separate trophy list. It actually bugs me a little bit too, seeing the game at 1%, just one trophy, and knowing that unless I import a copy myself, it'll always be that way. It's a shame you can't delete trophies, you can hide lists as long as they're 0%, but can't delete trophies themselves.

I think you can delete trophies that are at 0% forever..... right?

Mainly ESO. I've been dabbling in NMS (kinda waiting for more updates to reduce bugs) and Kingdom Come (new dlc is out but have to beat main story to do anything with).

Zodiac age is alot of fun. I like the job system.

I also heard about FIA demanding MTs. But again, I would have preferred Polyphony to come clean and say there will be MT's, but not to the point that GTS will become pay-to-win.

There are a lot of content creators who depend on the outrage factor to push views. However, I don't think YongYea is one of them and I think he covered the situation mostly fairly. I will admit he does add his own biases such as when he thought the MTs were added because GTS's sales were lower than previous entries and called the game 'half-baked'.

News Update:

Sony Interactive Entertainment Announces PlayStation China Press Event For Tomorrow - Siliconera

"Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that a press event for 2018 games for China will take place tomorrow at 2pm China Standard Time in Shanghai. [Thanks, A9VG!]

The press conference will last around one hour, and it has been hinted that Spider-Man, Monster Hunter: World, Monkey King: Hero is Back, and NBA2K19 may be present at the conference tomorrow."

Just beat Detroit Become Human. Might go back to unlock other paths. Not sure what I should play next after that though.
