Not many people know this but Sony is actually one of the biggest players in the mobile sphere. Their game fate grand order is absolutely huge and with it releasing WW revenues have hit 1.8BN for the fiscal year. 

Absolutely insane and long may Sony find mobile success. 

Mobile meh,may it die fast so those recourses are put Making amazing AAA and AA playstation exclusives.

At least their keeping the MTX out of their real games and instead milking a different, much more stupid audience of gamers. Still bad for the industry overall tho.

More of a reason for publishers to stop making real games, and instead invest a few dollars (& ultimately man power) into a '"Free2play" game that makes 10x as much profit as a traditional AAA title. It's why we got the atrocity known as "Gears Funko pop". Instead of focusing all your investment and man power onto Gears 5, they decided to throw in a mobile game that has the potential to outprofit Gears 5.
Mobile market needs to die quick, otherwise we're going to run out of good games.

Aniplex is not PlayStation, and Aniplex is only the publisher for the game (which is understandable, given that they're mostly an anime and music licensing company first and foremost). However, you will be pleased to know that the Fate franchise has gotten a lot more popular thanks to this game, which explains why there are more Fate games on PS4 now. 

So when is Antiplex going to surpass Playstation as a gaming brand? It is already really profitable.

Huh? Fate games were revived with the new anime adaptations by ufotable (starting with Fate/Zero, then UBW, and now the Heaven's Feel movies). Grand Order is huge, but Sony hasn't done jack to transition it to PS4 for some really stupid reason.

Don't worry, I'm sure that PS isn't going to pass this opportunity by...is what I would've said before looking into this further. But hey, Grand Order got an arcade version, so they can port that money printer over to PS4 and call it a day.

No wonder companies are finally releasing a mobile version of their franchises.

Thanks to it the Fate Franchise has exploded (which as a long time fan makes me really happy), this could be Sonys "Pokemon" but knowing them they wont capitalize on the success of FGO and will just take the money and be done with that bussiness which is pretty sad, because it has become apparent that despite how much money Type Moon gets they wont make anything close to a big budget console game (unlike granblue), so a PS4 exclusive (a la Gravity Rush) would be the closest thing the franchise would get to a "big budget game" but again i have no expectations of Sony realizing the RAW POTENTIAL this franchise has.
