Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Kimishima assures more titles will be announced for 2018, more

Kimishima-san mentioned that the plan remains to ship twenty million shipments for the console in the current fiscal year (between April 2018 and March 2019), and there are no problems in securing the required production volumes. While it’s true that the price of parts is affected by fluctuations, negotiations are undergoing to any impact on the production costs of these twenty million units.

Kimishima-san was also asked about Nintendo’s presentation at E3 and the fact that it caused a sharp decline in the stock value. He explained that the company is preparing to disclose more information to the customers at an appropriate timing, including products that will be launched during the year-end shopping battle. It’s not yet time to announce the full lineup.

That being said, he listed the games that will be released before the end of the fiscal year, mentioning that it’s a “powerful lineup.” Nintendo aims to maintain and expand the momentum of the Switch towards the year-end shopping battle (this is a widely used definition in Japan for the shopping rush at the end of the year). He believes that more detailed information can be disclosed to the customers in the future.

Most likely more old ports and indies, so probably nothing worthwhile.

I saw this. My immediate thought is that they have a port or two that they didn't want to drop during E3.

It'd be nice if they dropped in Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Metroid Prime Trilogy.

MP-Trilogy would be awesome, or Pikmin Trilogy.

Or just a single Wii-U game like Mario 3d World or Maybe one of the HD remasters of Zelda they made for that system? Windwaker or Twilight Princess, the Wii-U had so many great Nintendo titles just ripe for the picking and porting to Switch.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

If it was anything big, it would have been at E3. Then again, this is nintendo we’re talking about, so who knows...

I have nothing to really get in September and October. (I MIGHT get Mario Party(Maybe) but I am not sure yet.) However, I doubt they have anything unannounced that month. Knowing Nintendo they will pack November to breaking point again like they did in June this year and November of Last year. Ridiculous!

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

E3 isn't their big show anymore, it is one of 4 big shows now, and they split up announcements.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Please. Give me Mario Bros. Haven't heard anything of the series in years and it's all I want with Pokemon (Mainline game, not the stupid "lets Go" crap).

Selling 20 million units is hard when the only thing you have to show is Smash Bros (That doesn't appeal to me, but it appeals to millions of other people).

I think there will be a few third party surprises we haven't heard about. Like I looked some dates for some last years big third party reveals after E3.

Resident Evil Revelations Collection was reveal in August and came out in November.

L.A Noire was reveal in September and came out in November.

Doom was reveal in the September direct and came out in November.

Talk is cheap.

I see your point, but if this surprise game is coming out this fall and it is something big, than it makes no sense that they didnt show it at E3. There’s barely any time left to market it.
