I'm still somewhat hesitant to give rewards to demos and trailers. Especially those with little to no gameplay.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Best of Show should have gone to ghost of tsushima, or last of Us part 2 imo.

Those games were not eligible for Best of Show.

What makes a game eligible? Does it need a playable demo on the show floor or that journalists could play?

I hope that is the case. But in that regard, did RE2 have one? I don't recall seeing one, but I'm not a big RE fan, so wasn't really looking.

Either way, seeing Anthem as best PC game makes me see this list as shit.

I have no problem with RE2 being best of show. From what I saw, it really did look fresh but familiar at the same time. The way you can shoot limbs off zombies and blast them with a shotgun and watch there body fall apart was disgusting but delightful at the same time. It looks like a true successor of RE4.

The link to the eligibility rules are in the OP. The rules state as follows:

"To be eligible for nomination, games must be "hands-on playable" to voting publications for at least 5 minutes of gameplay during E3 2018."

Understandable, but Smash Bros. Ultimate certainly earned it's award.

I wonder how close it was for Smash Bros. Ultimate to win Best Fighting Game, considering DOA6 and Soul Calibur VI.

Seeing a multiplat game being PC's "best game" just makes me see the list as flawed, especially when that game also has another award, making it not really the type of game that's "The best on PC". Hell there was a strategy title in that award section, and that was an actual PC based game.

Critic and award shows almost always screw up the PC award section, mostly because they either don't care or don't know what's actually popular on PC, let alone know what PC has on it's end.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

(Square Enix for PS4, Xbox One)

Nice to see it getting some recognition.

I find it weird that Anthem is the Best PC Game. I'm sure there was several PC exclusives that deserved it. But the surprise for me is that Dreams is on that list. That gameplay demo seemed phenomenal.

Spider-man on that list only hypes me more and more.

Have to agree with those who found Anthem winning "Best PC Game" to be dubious. Most of the nominees for that category were multiplat when many PC exclusives could make the list.

Well deserved for RE2, definitely a surprise and shows how to do a Remake.
Another show where a Forza game takes the best Racer title.. that franchise is on fire.
