these details on the necklace+earrings, the veins+eyes, the cloth are amazing.
What i do wonder how did you do the lighting?

edit: something like this again?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

You keep outdoing yourself.

When we will see your game cgi? We thirsty for the good stuff

From memory one of the games Sony showed on PS5 reveal had assets that CGI worked on, perhaps it was that SE new IP.

You are extremely talented CGI.

That be some nice models.

Just finished rendering an example of a next gen scene, using next gen lighting/ray tracing techniques (in Unreal 4 and then rendered in Iray), but I could see 9th gen consoles pulling off most of it (I don't expect the raytraced shadows to be quite as accurate, but otherwise, they should get somewhat close).

The dust and particles in the lights are things that will see a particular refinement from some of next gen's best looking games.

These pics remind me of a scene in Half Life Alyx..

Damn. these are good.

I don't see anything here that the current-gen consoles shouldn't be able to do. I feel however that it would be hard maintaining such a level of detail across an entire game.

It is likely what the AAA games will have this gen but with a little reduced quality to meet the budget of GPU and keep consistent fps.

I honestly don't think hardware limitations are what will determine how anything looks this gen.

I mean look at those shots are they that far removed from the best eve the last-gen had to offer?

I feel that the single biggest limiting factor now is time and resources.

The better devs make anyone thing in a game look, the more overall work they've given themselves in having the rest f the game look just as good. And like a dev said about that UE5 PS5 demo "good luck making an entire game look that way"

Which is why I'm getting more excited by software/middleware like Quixel and MetaHuman than hardware these days. Streamlining the development pipeline keeps getting more important. Will be interesting to see how AI further enhances and democratizes things.

If you look in detail for what CGI have posted yes they are head and sholders (insert Joel Santana Meme) above gen 8.
