You sure you mean Ray Tracing in GT5 and not rasterization?

I can't find aything about GT5 using Ray Tracing.

No. I meant Raytracing, but the 5 should have been an 'S'. GT: S makes mild use of it.

Ah, ok. They use it to pre-render the scene. Mainly used for lighting and shadows. So, it's static. The console is not directly using Raytracing.

^ Didn't The Tomorrow Children use a form or ray tracing?

One of the best examples of next gen tech compiled into a realtime VR demo.

by Rich (Artstation artist). This is all without RTX, too.

crazy to think eye-lashes casting shadows could be so awesome to look at... and the reflectings in the eyes.... I watched it like 3 times.
Yeah if next gen can do graphics like that, im sure most of us would be more than pleased.

Not sure if you are taking requests, but I'd really love to see a next-gen version of a character from an art style heavy game, like Link, Samus, or something along those lines? Doesn't have to be Nintendo (if you do these in the first place), you could do Gruntilda from Banjo for all I care, but I'd love to see something like that! These are amazing by the way!

Edit - I see you already did this, my bad (been a while since I looked at the first page completely). I'd still love to see more though! A teaser for the future :)

Thank You!

As always, your work looks great. If this is what we can expect in the next decade, I am very excited. I really want to strap on PSVR2, and have a Gran Turismo game that looks this good, or roam around a Grand Theft Auto world that is this pleasing on the eyes.

What do you think it would take to run somthing like this at 4K/60?

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

This is such a gorgeous thread.

I'm pretty sure my relatives will think more and more I'm watching a movie and why am I holding a controller.

I have to be honest, while I don't mind occasional photo-realistic (if it has good art direction) approach in game, I mostly find it boring and I'm really hoping to see more games with so called "stylized realism"...something like backgrounds in this picture, minus the characters (this is from Coco):

There will be space for all. The most improvement in tech also means even stylized games can benefit as well.

In response to the characters detailed in the first post of the thread, Dolb looks remarkably like a troll-like version of Hank from Breaking Bad.
