Nahh, not even close. Those legs will come to a stop soon. I mean, all the best, but I just don't see it happening. Funny how the most UNtraditional Zelda game in the franchise is selling the best in the franchise. Similar thing is happening with God of War.

Looks like it's obvious both franchises were lacking something before that many see as appealing NOW.

Congratulations, you're wrong.

I certainly think it can reach 15M but i think 20M is a stretch too far. Still fairly impressive sales so far.

How is it looking now, guys? The game reached 2.6m by the end of the first semester of this year. With 2 full quarters to go, one of them being the holiday season, my prediction of 3.9m for the year is probably going to be surpassed.

The game is on course to reach 14m when it turns 2 years old (March 2019).

PS: Someone said in this thread that it would reach 12m at best. xD

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Zelda is just under 11mil (wiiu sell thru over 1.5mil). Its outpacing SMO amd as shown in NPD amd MC it continues to thrive. The scariest part is the fact switxh hw isnt selling into overdrive yet (pokemon and smash havent released yet) and that means botw can sell even more per quarter.

End of year minimum Zelda will be at 13.5mil. Ill say 15mil

Lol. Well its certainly doing very well  And if it exceeds the 20M mark then it will certainly deserve the sales. BUT its not there yet and we dont know what is going to happen, especially around the next gen which will be coming up fairly soon.

Depend on when the next 3D Zelda will be released if it released in 2019 then it will be hard for the 20M target.

3D Zelda in 2019 = BOTW 17M ltd(switch+wiiu)
3D Ze;da in 2020 = BOTW 19-20M ltd

That would be pretty amazing, and it couldn’t happen to a better game.

It’s very cool to see Zelda — in my mind the very best game series of all time — flirt with Super Mario/Mario Kart/Pokemon numbers.

No way in hell. Most Zelda fans are the hardcore Nintendo people who've already bought the console. So sales figures won't scale with future console sales in the same way.
I think it'll be a maximum of 15 million. Still incredible.

It is very clear that botw is appealing to a broader audience.

2nd this, its obvious the way the game is selling. Its an evergreen and its already surpassed the highest zelda sellers in a year. Add to the fact that its still topping charts and even beating SMO in many regions despite release date difference... BotW is Switch GTA imo
