Sorry, i've been away for a while. Anyway, is it really first party or is it merely publishing rights that Nintendo has? Microsoft used the same thing with Gears of War. People tried to argue whether Gears of War was first or third party and its quite clear last gen Gears was merely a third party exclusive with publishing rights. Microsoft only recently purchased the IP before they made the Coalition. Same thing with Sunset Overdrive. Microsoft only recently gave back publishing rights to Remedy for Alan Wake, so now they are free to do remasters anywhere they please for the specific game.

Bayonetta 2 and 3 are really first party. Nintendo funded the development, so they own the copyright for the games with Sega.

Bayonetta 1 is only published by Nintendo on Nintendo consoles, so it remains third party.

first party means one of two things:

1) intellectual property owned by the console manufacturer.

2) an in-house developer making a game for a console manufacturer off of its own publishing budget.

Have 12 games. Four first party:
Zelda (physical)
Mario Kart (physical)
Splatoon
Mario

You didn't buy any new first party games. Yes, you posted in this thread half a year ago and it looks like you didn't remember, but my spreadsheet doesn't forget. All of your third party games have been recorded as digital copies. Your post from March confirms that up to that point you had four digital third party games, so if any of the four new ones are physical, just let me know. It's easy and quick to change if necessary.

Haha, forgetful me!

Oh I see Mario+Rabbids is counted as first party in the spreadsheet, so I'll add that to 1st party too.

New update: 11 first party games and 23 games total (not including free to download games). All third party games are digital.

New physical first party games: Bayonetta 2, Pokemon Sword

New digital first party games: Mario + Rabbids, DKC: Tropical Breeze, Bayonetta, Smash Bros, NSMBU Deluxe
