Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4/XBO/NS - 2017 vs. 2018: Final Results!!!

I think this is the last year PS4 will be the best selling console of the year and both Xbox one and PS4 will be significantly down next year due to more rumours about the next generation.
Also Switch is looking to have a much better variety of games coming in 2019 and possibility of revision/price cut.
I'm surprised to see PS4 being up in december compared to last year while being down for the whole year and not having the deal it got last year... also claims of Switch outselling the other 2 combined in the US could point out to ajustements.

I think we can expect price cuts for the PS4 and Xbox One as well, but obviously their price cuts will be to stave off further declines. Whereas a price cut for the Switch would be to push its baseline to further heights. If Nintendo maintains its titles scheduled for 2019 in addition to doing a revision or price cut. 2019 will most likely be the peak year for the Switch.
And yeah, I'm expecting adjustments as well once NPD data comes out and we get official shipments from Sony and Nintendo. I'll make them when they come.

Switch will close 2018 with almost 20 million sold.

Prediction: Nintendo Switch sells 100 million until the end of 2021

Not only PS4 has been adjusted down in US, Switch has been adjusted up mostly in Europe

PS4 probably needs more adjustments down, Offical PR from Sony puts PS4 at 18M for the year and I cant see the the two last weeks of the year just getting 1.25M sales for the system.

Pretty fantastic year for the PS4, 18M is amazing.

Yeah, 91.6 million by December 31st and it is currently at 90.5 million by by December 15th. I had a feeling we would get some more adjustments down. Still amazing sales from Sony and the PS4 though. 100 million is just around the corner.

You know what Switch might be real close on the Global numbers for the year.

There must be a veeery little miscalculation for the Switch spreadsheet on the first page:
If you do the math for week 50 it should be: 14,374,707 - 11,236,199 = +3,138,508
Instead of + 3,123,461. Difference of ~15'000

Because there were made adjustments also for 8th December week: Switch up by, in fact, 15k units WW

EDIT: I'm wrong, comparison is already fixed... I don't know why there is a difference of 15k units
