I was thinking they would make something less niche than DIY cardboard Switch accessories.

For one, the durability will be greatly shortened by incidences with stepping on the cardboard and spilt sippy-cups so it is a deterrent for parents that want durable things to give their kids. (kinda makes you kind of appreciate how sturdy all the Wii accessories were, and still had a similar novel experience)

For another, Assembly required toys are usually seen as an extra step for the parents (that they would rather have pre-built to give to their kids)

Some will very much enjoy it, but I am surprised Nintendo went for something more niche. I was thinking they would do something more approachable, at least along the lines of family game night stuff like Wii Sports, Fortune Street, Mario Party, etc. (The half-joycon each is perfect for table top board game series and such)

Did people actually see the pricetag they are asking? Am I the only one who thinks that this is downright embarrassing? Oh well, time to wait for the MP4 direct.

The price is mostly since it includes the game you need for this. I wonder how much the cardboard would cost seperately.

I'll probably buy

Its embarrassing on many levels. I don't get the positivity either. If EA or Activision made this, people would mock them to death.

Looks as lame and shallow as 1, 2 Switch. I wish Nintendo would just focus on the core gamer. This takes resources away from actual good games with depth.

The graphics in that robot game looked like early PS3 games (like Sonic 06 for example).

It does seem a bit pricey, though it does come with the actually games/software itself so that lessens the blow a bit. Also, it seems that we now know what became of Project Giant Robot

Either way, I was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off in my prediction.

They just gave us the best launch year lineup for any console ever.

It releases on 4/20 and costs $69.99. And they said this is for kids

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Its too damn expensive. But its a neat idea.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
