Can someone who supports trump actually tell me a single GOOD thing he has actually done? All I see is a whole lot of 'fuck the environment, fuck the democrats, fuck mexicans, fuck muslims, yay NRA, yay moneymoneymoney, fuck literally everyone that isn't an american that supports me and especially fuck anyone who dares criticise me with rational criticism about my racist, ignorant, sexist policies"

Best American President since I've been taking notice with a critical eye. So out of the three, Trump has been doing the best job. Now that he is targeting prescription medical costs, I'm dying to see how it goes as it's an industry that can very much side step political power with it's deep pockets. I'm really intereted to see how the people who keep ignoring his reform react if he manages to put these steps into place. Anyway, Anyone who manages to sort out North Korea, gets my favour, after a good three decades of US presidential missteps and repeatedly falling for the same tricks like dealing with a spoiled child. Absolutely brilliant work but not without his misteps also, just far fewer than other befor him. He is the first that hasn't fallen into a corporate shill yet he still manages to balance the peoples needs with corporate and the needs of capitalistic growth something the three before him couldn't manage only falling into selling not only the American people but people in the rest of the world to corporate interests. Hope he gets a second term and now the reat of the world can stop leaning on America to make decisions and we can give globalization the proper time to digest and not stick all of our eggs togetger into one basket in one lifetime.

He didn't sort North Korea, North Korea sorted him.
He's not a corporate shill? He is the worst of them. He literally gave Saudi Arabia a pass on killing journalists and genocide because he doesn't want to impact the profit margins of the military industrial complex.
Obama has been more successful, he brought the employment rate down 7%, tripled the stock market value, and lowered the deficit by around 1 trillion dollars. Trump has reversed some of that progress, and his biggest economic accomplishment is that he hasn't destroyed the trends which began under Obama yet. Yet he has completely failed on the budget worse than any President before him outside of a financial disaster.

The problem with Trump is not necessarily him. He's a blatant liar, he's an idiot - and that's obvious. It's the guys who see the media circus and say "That them thar guy on the teleall da time says its like it-is!"

How long before Trump starts telling people that "electrolytes are what plants crave," and they start fertilizing everything with sports drinks?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

In the last few weeks lets just look at some of the things Trump has stated. First he is making up tax cuts and promising something next week when Congress is not in session. He found some way to make up riots in California out of thin air. He has claimed that democrats are the ones that are destroying healthcare benefits and then he states he is the champion of preexisting conditions totally ignoring or forgetting that Republicans have a lawsuit trying to get rid of it. Then he made those nice statements that Democrats are paying immigrants to come to america to vote for them. He made claims that in California that they are allowing illegal immigrants to vote in elections, totally forgetting to just plain ignorance that California you have to show ID that you are a resident. I guess when you do not have to ever show proof of your claims you can pretty much just say anything knowing the people that support you will just believe your word.

I also love the lie where he claimed as Trump loves to do about deals that are only made in his head. The deal I am talking about is the one where he stated U.S Steel was opening 6 new plants because of the policies he has put into place. Later we found out not only did this discussion never happen between Trump and U.S Steel but of course there isn't any new plants opening at all. I know it has to be funny when you are the CEO of a company and you hear the president make these claims and you wonder, where the heck did he pull that crap from. I only talk about this since we know that Trump has made claims about that 110 Billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia which is another one of those made up deals in his mind that does not exist. He has promised something like 40K jobs being created by this deal in May when he started this lie but now the figure at his last rally is 500K to 1 Million to.

Lol, each lie just gets bigger and bigger because his base has told him, as long as we believe you are doing things for us, we do not care what lies you make.

The economy is good at the very least. Whether or not he is fully responsible for that and whether or not this economic growth is truly helping the people that need it most is a different conversation but for a lot of people waking up and seeing that the stock market hasn't crashed and they still have a job is enough to justify continuing to vote for whatever the status quo is.

By the way, Trump has talked about this "Saudi arms deal" for months now.  But what keeps changing is the number of US jobs it would create.

Back in March he said 40k jobs.

10 days ago he says 450k job.

4 days later it's 500k jobs.

2 days later then 600k jobs.

...now he says 1 million jobs.

His own State Department says, "potentially supporting tens of thousands of new jobs in the United States."

This reminds me of the mentality of a child trying to impress other kids around him....and the pathology of a serial liar.

Yeah the Saudi deal is just one of those lol moments where you have to ask yourself, by next week, how many new jobs this phantom deal will bring to the US so he can claim it at another rally.  I was watching a rally where he claimed that he will be the new champion for pre-existing conditions and the crowd roared loving every moment of it all the while they do not even know he has endorsed the removal of it.  Maybe he will switch sides right around the mid-terms only to switch again after the mid-terms but it would be funny if he does that move and still bring it back up in another rally to the same cheers.

I believe I got a confession from EricHiggins in another thread where he stated he doesn't care about Trump lies as long as he believes he is doing things he care about.  I tried to tell him that Con men like Trump love people like him.  They are always willing to give you the candy in their hand while the other steals your wallet.

I believe after Trump has left office, it would be interesting how the political landscape will be.  Will there be another candidate who disregard the truth so much like Trump be able to pull off another scam like this again.

So Trump now claims that Congress is going to propose tax reduction on the middle class next week.

That's interesting. Congress isn't in session and won't be for several more weeks (Nov 13th). So it's impossible for them to propose anything next week. He's flat out lying about legislation now. Why is it so hard for him to tell the truth even on simple things?

Its not that Trump cannot tell the Truth, its that the Truth means nothing to him.  What I mean by that is as we have seen on countless times, Trump never do any research before opening his mouth or sometimes even making decisions.  Instead he will just say shit not caring if its true or not because for him Truth means nothing.  I am sure he made those statements not even knowing Congress wasn't going to be in session because actually checking such facts is beneath him.

It always boggles my mind why anyone would ever trust someone who just say shit never concerned if its true or not.

Edit: Was it you that posted about the bullshiter VS Liar.  Trump is the classic BS person.  A person who is always pushing BS are never concerned about the Truth.

'twas me.

I really do recommend Harry G. Frankfurt's On Bullshit.  It's less than seventy (70) pages long—an essay in the form of a book—so anyone who's literate should be able to get through it ... perhaps even our current President.

The country has 20 cookies.  Trump gives the rich 19 of them and then tells the middle class to fear the poor or they will steal their cookie.

That's less a Trump thing and more of a Republican thing, from what I've witnessed over the past 30 years. Something something trickle-down economics that have proven not to work but they keep finding new ways to justify it.

How's that second round of tax cuts going?  You know the one that actually focuses now on the "middle income class" instead of being a handout to ultra rich and corporations. How is that going to pass before elections when congress is out of session?  It almost as if shit gets out in front of this administration and his lackeys are left with trying to play catch up to a fucking idiot.

Don't get me started on not being a corporate whore.  Republicans are definition of corporate whores.  The whole tax bill that passed last year...  Guess what?  Individual cuts expire in a few years with lower brackets then taking most of burden with increases.  Sure we could have lowered the business tax rate but there are so many loopholes that most companies never even paid 35% with some companies actually having a negative tax (we gave tax money back to them while they pulled in profits).  There was talk about closing the loopholes.  They closed a decent amount of right offs for individuals but the loopholes/tax write offs are all still there for businesses.

You know I could keep going for paragraphs but what the fuck is the point.  You wouldn't get it even if it was spelled out for you.

That's even worse than that one time when Trump got two scoops of ice-cream while everyone else only got one.

Not as bad as having to hear him talk about how wonderful his dessert was.

Nice to see you all found yourselves a nice safe space to vent your fears.
