I try not to think about it, it just makes me so frustrated, angry and depressed.

This year more than ever I need positive things to look forward to and its absolutely maddening that Nintendo chose this worst possible time to starve us.

Just having some release dates to count down to would make a world of difference for my mental health.

I feel you. In times when I've been low, it's always nice to have even little things like a direct to look forward to. Anticipation of Smash Ultimate definitely helped me through a particularly rough patch.

Yeah, having something positive to focus on helps alleviate all the anxiety of this scary time we're living through; Witcher 3 late last year offered a welcome escape for me when I was dealing with having cancer. Now, with my city having become a COVID-19 epicenter, I could really use some release dates, and the silence from Nintendo is so frustrating.

Investors report should be out this Friday I think.

Ugh, great, another game I already played years ago. At this point, it's looking like there won't be any more first party games for me to play for the rest of the year, or knowing Nintendo's patterns, probably til mid-to-late 2021. :(

I feel so conflicted about the Switch as a system. On the one hand it has some truly spectacular games, but on the other I feel like it showcases a lot of Nintendo's bad habits. Such a mixture of amazing and disappointing.

why do you do this to yourself? Of course there will be more 1st party games this year, shouldn't this announcement along with Paper Mario be enough proof that Nintendo is more than willing to announce games 2-3 before release?

Next update expected October 2020.

Note: Although NS shipments to the end of June are below NES given the amount of units moved in recent weeks it has undoubtedly surpassed the latter leaving the Wii as the only home console from Nintendo it hasn't overtaken yet, next milestone is the 3DS and will be the start of NS taking on the portable side of things by now taking aim at the second of it's two predecessors.

Isn't it nice to know that you can't come to VGC for months and once you return everything is still like it has always been?

Lol i just find it hilarious how he keeps going back and forth on this issue. Early in the year it was "oh no, there is nothing scheduled after May" then Paper Mario gets a surprise reveal a couple months before release and it turns into "maybe this year won't be so bad" and then Pimin 3 gets announced out of nowhere and all of a sudden we are back to "there is nothing coming for the rest of the year!!!"

Sorry.

I am quite sure they do 2020 games yet to announce. The rumors and leaks suggest these games are remasters of the old 3D Mario games though, which I already have. I would say 3D World as well but given past patterns I'm kinda expecting that to be January, like NSMBU was. Good game, but again, played it to death already.

I am quite looking forward to No More Heroes III and Doom Eternal, but those don't have a date either so who knows when they'll arrive, might not be til 2021.

Sure those are rumored and many rumors have come true but there have also been out of the blue announcements that no one expected such as Ring Fit, Clubhouse Games & New Pokemon Snap, etc.

Withe the 3D Mario collection likely to be a September or November drop, Pikmin 3 in October, and potentially 3D World as well, that doesn't leave much room for a new unannounced first party game.

You could have said the same thing last year. With Links Awakening+Switch Lite in Sept, Luigis Mansion in Oct and Pokemon in Nov, that doesn't leave much room for a new first party game.

Despite that we got Ring Fit released in Oct, like a month after being announced.
