The rumour that the next Smash DLC character is a Pokemon may explain why Pokken was given a free trial to give it a boost as people are speculating it could be a Pokemon from Pokken DX.

I think people are just making connections that aren't necessarily there.

That seems to happen a lot. -_-

Just the way humans are wired.

Man Nintendo really built their consoles to last.
My SNES is coming up on 26 years since I got it, my N64 on 21 and my Wii on 11, and all work perfectly despite all of them having fallen off a table/cabinet at least once.

As opposed to the Xbox 360, which was doing good, until the Red Ring of Death.

I've had a PS2 die on me as well, from the disc drive clapping out. Never had a single Nintendo system fail on me yet.

My PS1/2 are still kicking. So is my NES/SNES/N64 as far as I know. My Gamecube sort of works, except controller port 1 doesn't work. My original 3DS works but I've had to send my N3DS in for repairs. My Wii was repaired in 06 but fine since. My Wii U hasn't given me issues. Swtich has already been replaced twice though. PS3 and 360 both broke within 3-4 years or so.

My 360 red-ringed on me once in 2011; got it repaired and it's still going 9 years later. PS3 didn't die on me per se, but my brother dismantled it to try to hack it and couldn't figure out how to put it back together, lulz.

Been a long time since we've seen any directs 'round these parts.

I try not to think about it, it just makes me so frustrated, angry and depressed.

This year more than ever I need positive things to look forward to and its absolutely maddening that Nintendo chose this worst possible time to starve us.

Just having some release dates to count down to would make a world of difference for my mental health.

G4TV's Morgan Webb once tested the durability of the GameCube, Xbox and PS2. The PS2 died first, while the GameCube survived the worst she could do to it.

I think I remember that video. Doesn't surprise me, of the Big Three, Nintendo easily has the best record for durability.

I feel you. In times when I've been low, it's always nice to have even little things like a direct to look forward to. Anticipation of Smash Ultimate definitely helped me through a particularly rough patch.
