I think it has at least one good shot with Scorpio.  I fully expect Scorpio to be a minority subset product, borderline niche, as the Pro is looking like but worse.  However, early adopters will adopt early, it will have a launch rush.  But Xbox is in danger of becoming the third wheel here. 

just look at total numbers of PS4 and XB1 in the USA. and you will realize that there isnt that huge of a gap. whats the gap between the two, 2 million? thats not really a big gap. saying the XB1 will be a third wheel just doesnt make sense. its certainly competitive in the USA. and the switch has yet to prove its self outside of launch and prove it can sustain its legs. you are downplaying XB1's power in the US market. while its certainly not as strong as the 360, it still has a strong precense.

You are better off going to sleep and checking back tomorrow. As has been said, it's not even guaranteed that there will be any numbers.

Back in my day, NPD was such a big event! It's disappointing the numbers may not even be here at all. Thanks for the advice.

We won't have a general idea until GAF ranks the NPD predictions. Even then, we won't be able to isolate precise numbers.

Yeah, this, so no estimates even on numbers until the tail end of the month, most likely (that could change, but probably won't).
