Lets face the facts despite how great LBP looks, it's going to play out in the market like X360's Viva Pinata, and PSP's Loco Roco, and even ps2 Okama(sp?). It won't sell well, or at least not great. People don't shell out 600 bucks to get a side-scrollers, it just won't have mass market appeal. It would have faired better on the Wii being that it fits Nintendo's audience a little better, it actually seems like the one game many Wii owners are jealous of. But people buying a ps3 are mostly in it for GTA, FF, MGS the big exciting games, this one may be great, but it's going to get over looked by most of Sony's audience, unless Sony supports it with alot more content that fit in this genre then possibly they can build an audience, but they won't, and this will turn into an overlooked gem.



If Little Big Planet was released on the PS2 in 2006 the low price tag and massive userbase of the PS2 would probably lead it to have sales in a similar range as Katamari Damacy; on the PS3 I would expect half or a quarter than number so (roughly) 200,000 to 400,000 copies sold ...
