The colors certainly are very pretty, but I think it is too much of a departure from the series' bread and butter, at least visual wise. I liked the original because it had kind of a grey and somber color which went really well with the richly elaborated Catholic church motif and religious motif of the game. The game may still be very good, just my two cents. I just don't like it when a game is watered down or altered specifically to cater to a wider audience or to a "kiddy" audience.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I got a 3-day ban for useless posting! I win! :) Mrstickball

I don't think it looks that great actually, it looks like a GBA game and since when is FFT so happy looking?

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

wow, thats colourfull!

It does look colorful, the only reason i havent got back into the whole.handled is the time, i use to take em on business trips, but now since i dont travel as much, i dont see a point , now that i have the next gen systems, just waiting on 360. but it would be nice if they made an add on for the wii so i may play em. dont get me wrong the DS and even the PSP look awesome.I just don't see myself having the time to play them. The graphics and colors are awesome and I must admit, when i seen the commercial for the DS and new super mario, i about flipped...2d side scroller with awesome graphics?? wow i wanted one......hmmm maybe i should get one and put it in the throne room.(bathroom) lol.but be honest how many of us actually take a handheld to the bathroom???come on now be honest.ever done it. I use too(when i had the advance)

Huh? I'm still looking forward to this, FFT is my #2 all-time fav, and I really enjoyed FFTA as well (I have a savegame with all 300 missions complete, @ level 50, took 180 hours) :)

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

Actually, it does end if you finish the bonus missions, but in order to do the bonus missions, you have to do ALL of the other missions.  This includes the "recruitment" missions.  The bonus missions were quite cool, you have to deal with corruption from the judicial system itself. :)  (Kick some judge arse!)

My last savegame is 187 hours, 58 minutes, by the way. I just checked it. :)  Marche is strong enough to deal with almost any mission all by himself, he's a jack-of-all-trades powerhouse Blue Mage. ^_^

I have really high expectations of FFTA2, so I hope you'll forgive my biasd-ness. :)
