Ever remember the gamers of yesteryear, when contra was the game to play, and co-op was in??I remember Contra was hard(without unlimited lives)and we all love those games, the last cool co-op my wife and I played was Lego star wars and even metal slug....

I think game developers forget that co-op games= replay value!!!!!I am all about replay valueAnyone know of any cool released co-op games or soon to be released co-op games???

If you want co-op play, then get a 360. Best friggin co-op system since the NES. Gears of War Ghost Recon AW 1 & 2 Earth Defense Force 2017 The Outfit Just some of the game that have full co-op modes through the entire games, or in the case of GRAW 1&2, special 2p to 4p co-op missions. XBLA Online Co-Op with: Worms, TMNT Arcade, Double Dragon (off the top of my head)

yea i agree get a 360 its the best co op system right now... i dont think the ps3 will catch up til late 2007 or 08 sometime

See i dont like the online, but are all these co-op? or both??? Ive sai dit before, I am getting an 360 when I mmove in July/early june, i just keep seeing more cool games, i even seen one on a thread called alan wake I believe, But anyway back to the point the 360 has a lot of co-op? or are those you named online only, cuz i dont really like online gameplay for co-ops.

I'm looking for the same thing -- coop on the SAME computer. I know there is a lot of co-op online on the 360, but I don't want to do it online, I want to play with others in my household.

looks like we are alone, and there arent too many co-ops out there, do you agree with me thougth, that companies would make more money with co-ops, think about how cool RE4 would be as a co-op????

 I guess the days of great co-ops is dead.  Split screen or same screen, I don't care -- I just want to play with friends on the same machine.  Contra 3 co-op ruled on the SNES.

If you have a PS2, the co-op in Lord of the Rings, ROTK is pretty good, if you are into hack-n-slash action rpgs.  X men legends is OK, but it gets repetitive pretty quick.  Marvel UA isn't too bad -- worth a look.  Dynasty warriors 4 is kind of cool if you don't mind some fairly heavy button mashing. (that goes the same for the samurai warriors games).
