Forums - General Discussion - White Teacher Calls Student "N" Word

Just for the record Robert E. Lee was against slavery and thought it was against slavery. Though he did have some weird views on it.

He only sided with the south because he believed in states rights and thought if the North won the south would in many ways be slaves to the north or that the whole country would just be slaves to the government.

Also, had America lost the revolutionary war slavery would of been abolished there. It already was abolished by the English during the revolutionary war.

So if you think he was a racist you should feel the same way about people like John Adams and many other nothern state revolutionists who found slavery immoral and thought it should be illegal.

Robert E Lee actually saw it more as a sin on the white person then the black person. Probably do to the whole "physical life" vs "Afterlife" thing.

I know why he sided with the South. In fact the Civil War was about states rights and not slavery. Doesn't change my view on Robert E. Lee. He fought for the oppressors of my people despite his disbelief in slavery. That makes him worse than the actual slave owners in my view.

im black, but i dont use the n word at all. i dont even hang out with black people, cause there too ignorant.

the truth is if a black person does bad on something or some1 treats them badly but not in a racist way, or if people say "some black guy" they will say its racist, when teh ythink there allowed to say it about other races.

black people these days use slavery, and 400 years of suffering as there excuse for not making something good of their lives. thats why you see very few succesful black people (well at least here in canada).

no1 today has done anything to opress blacks so they shouldnt b lame them for slavery.

remember im black. and to all those racist mother fuckers out there, you have no lives.

^^^I'm far from ignorant so u should stop with the generalization of all black people

Gamertag: InfernoTrell

Oh god no...

There is way too much racial tension here, I feel like I'm stepping in a field of land mines...

Should I lock this? It's starting to get ugly in here!

I just think there are too many generalisations being made by certain people.

Any sentence that starts with "Black people nowadays...", "All black people.." etc. really gets on my nerves. I mean there are broad assumptions, then there is this thread.

So because he decided that state rights were more a more important and pressing concern than slavery (which really only became an issue as a tactic to cripple the south) That makes him worse than slave owners?

That's like saying that because a doctor was trying to cure cancer that he didn't get a chance to treat your bullet wound, that makes him worse than the guy who shot you. Get a clue.

Totally agree with you on this point, even though I've been guilty of it myself in a few cases. In some cases, it's the pure tedium of saying "this select problematic subgroup of said group" etc. each time, since it's so often ignored or misinterpreted as being gernaralizing anyway.

Yes please lock this thread.

"Back off, man. I'm a scientist."

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist. Especially if you think the moon landing was faked.

ioi + 1

this is BS.

Talk about double standards. I mean in general. This is jsut another example.

If the "N" word offends a black person then they shouldn't use it themself.

The most outrages ting I have herd is you cannot call a black person black or another coloured person by their colour. So why the hell are white people being called white?

People should learn to get over it. Unless a werd was used in the tone to be delibretly racist then that is unacceptable, but in general chat if someone says black white yellow red whatever it shoudl not matter cause that is jsut pure fact the colour that you are.

If people want to be 100% politically correct the only thing you should call someone is by their name as every skin colour word white black etc.. has been used in racist meanings before.

As far as Im concerned any white person saying the n-word to a black person is basically giving them official permission to beat the shit out of them. I dont care if the teacher is old, beat his lily white ass BLACK and blue and give him a couple of weeks in the hospital to have a really good re-think about racial equality. Same goes for if the kid called the teacher a cracker, although not to quite the same extent because the history isnt there. Fuck racism & fuck morons. Every person on here who hasnt displayed empathy towards people suffering racism, ie this kid, is an arsehole & a fucking moron. Thankyou.

Cobretti, no one is complaining about anyone calling anyone black.

@Danny: That's a tad extreme..
